REAL-LIFE SPOUSES HARRY HAMLIN AND LISA RINNA JOIN THE CAST AS A SUPERSTAR MOVIE COUPLE AND PARENTS TO ONE OF VERONICA'S MAIN RIVALS, ON UPN'S "VERONICA MARS"

Real-life spouses Harry Hamlin and Lisa Rinna have joined the cast of UPNs VERONICA MARS as the parents of Logan Echolls (Jason Dohring), a high school rival of Veronica Mars (Kristen Bell). Hamlin will play popular action movie star Aaron Echolls and Rinna will play his wife Lynn Echolls, a former actress. They will appear in at least three episodes of UPN's critically acclaimed new drama beginning in November.

VERONICA MARS stars Kristen Bell ("Deadwood") as a smart, fearless 17-year-old, apprentice private investigator dedicated to solving the toughest mysteries of her wealthy seaside community, Neptune, where the rich and powerful make the rules, own the town and the high school, and desperately try to keep their dirty little secrets just thatsecret. Jason Dohring ("Black Cadillac") stars as Logan Echolls, a privileged bully from Neptune High's popular crowd and best friend of Veronica's former boyfriend, Duncan Kane (Teddy Dunn).

Although best known for his Golden Globe-nominated turn on "L.A. Law," Hamlin has a long and accomplished resume spanning television, film and theater. His film work includes Stanley Donens boxing parody "Movie Movie," which earned him a Golden Globe nomination; "Clash Of The Titans," "Making Love," and the indies "Strange Hearts" and "Perfume." Hamlin has also starred in his own sitcom Movie Stars," and had a recurring role on "Ink," with Ted Danson. His other television credits include "L.A. Law: Return to Justice," "Disappearance," "Dinner at Eight," "Studs Lonigran," "Laguna Heat," "James A. Michener's Space," "Tom Clancys OP Center" and "1-800-MISSING."

Hamlins stage highlights include the Broadway revivals of "Awake and Sing" and "Summer and Smoke," the title roles in "Hamlet" at Princetons McCarter Theater and "Henry V" at Washington DCs Shakespeare Theater, for which he was nominated for the prestigious Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Resident Play. He also starred in a two-year run in the award-winning "Equus" at The American Conservatory Theatre.

Rinna's latest projects include serving as host of the Emmy-nominated daily talk show "SoapTalk." She is also the host of the weekly reality series "Merge," which focuses on newly married couples trying to create a home that blends elements of each person's past.

Rinna is known to many as Billie Reed, the free-spirited character she played on daytime's "Days Of Our Lives." The actress also starred on "Melrose Place" as the conniving Taylor McBride, and appeared in leading roles in the two highly-rated television movies "Another Woman's Husband" and "Sex, Lies and Obsession."

VERONICA MARS is from Silver Pictures Television in association with and distributed by Warner Bros. Television Production Inc. Production services provided by Stu Segall Productions, Inc. The show airs Tuesdays (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on UPN.
