"AMERICA'S MOST WANTED: AMERICA FIGHTS BACK" CAPTURES FUGITIVE FREDERICK ROSATO
AMW Reaches 812 Captures
AMERICA'S MOST WANTED: AMERICA FIGHTS BACK has captured its 812th fugitive as a direct result of AMW viewer tips. Fugitive Frederick Rosato was arrested just hours after a tipster placed him at a men's shelter in Manhattan, NY, on Oct. 22, 2004.
Rosato is accused of killing his wife, Elizabeth, on July 25, 2003. The couple was estranged and Elizabeth had asked Rosato to move into the downstairs basement. People close to the family say Rosato was resentful of Elizabeth as she had just completed her master's degree in psychology, while Rosato had been out of work for several months after losing his job. Cops say Rosato often taunted his wife with threats to kill her. They believe he made good on his promise and shot her to death.
Cops knew Rosato would be easy to spot, since he stands 6'2" and is missing several of his front teeth. When AMW profiled Rosato on Oct. 22, detectives were immediately encouraged about one tip in particular. The police set up surveillance at a shelter in Manhattan and around 4:30 PM on Saturday, Rosato was spotted walking down the street. He was arrested without incident. He will now face murder charges in Yonkers, NY.
AMERICA'S MOST WANTED: AMERICA FIGHTS BACK, now in its 18th season, airs Saturdays (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. AMERICA'S MOST WANTED: AMERICA FIGHTS BACK is produced by STF Productions, Inc. Lance Heflin is executive producer.
