KING WORLD RENEWALS FOR �THE OPRAH WINFREY SHOW� THROUGH 2010-2011 SEASON REACH 80% OF THE COUNTRY
Renewals Include All Top 20 Markets
Santa Monica, CA, November 11, 2004 - King World Productions has renewed The Oprah Winfrey Show through the 2010-2011 season on stations representing more than 80% of the country, it was announced today by Roger King, CEO, CBS Enterprises and King World Productions, which distributes the series.
In addition to key ABC O&O's, stations renewing represent such groups as Viacom, Hearst-Argyle, Belo, Cox, Scripps Howard, LIN, Allbritton, Emmis, Post-Newsweek, Media General, Dispatch, Young, Raycom and Clear Channel Stations. The renewals include all of the Top 20 markets and nearly every Top 50 market.
"The Oprah Winfrey Show continues to be the gold standard, and stations just don't want to be without it," said King. "Oprah is at the top of her game."
Currently in its 19th season, The Oprah Winfrey Show is garnering its highest national ratings since 1996. It has remained the number-one talk show for 18 consecutive seasons, winning every sweep since its debut in 1986. It is produced in Chicago by Harpo Productions, Inc. and syndicated to 212 domestic markets by King World and 108 countries by CBS Paramount International Television.
