LOS ANGELES, January 11, 2005 - What you cant do, teach! Enter Nadine - a 30-something, down-on-her-luck matchmaker who cant even seem to fix her own loveless love life. In Oxygens newest romantic comedy, Nadine in Dateland, actress-comedienne Janeane Garofalo stars as Nadine, owner of a dating service that needs a professional revamping soon to prevent her business endeavor from closing its dating doors. The two-hour Oxygen original movie premieres in Spring of 2005.

Short on cash, Nadine convinces her mother (Swoosie Kurtz) to invest in her matchmaking agency. But theres one small catch. In order to get out of the red, Nadine must prove to her mother that she can make a successful romantic match between herself and Adam (Brad Rowe), her old college sweetheart. With the help of her best friend Star (Tamala Jones), shell go to any measure to win Adam in order to keep her agencyeven if it means taking a mission impossible approach to dating.

Janeanes brilliant talent and comedic timing makes Nadine irresistibly loveable, says Debby Beece, President of Programming, Oxygen. Our audience will find themselves cheering for the underdog every step of the way.

Garofalo has starred in many top-grossing films including Reality Bites, Copland, The Truth About Cats and Dogs and The Cable Guy. In addition to acting, she continues to perform stand-up around the country and hosts her own radio show on Air America.

Emmy Award-winning actress Swoosie Kurtz is best known for her television role in the hit NBC series Sisters. Her work also includes Cruel Intentions and The Rules of Attraction. Brad Rowe starred in the successful independent film Billys Hollywood.

Screen Kiss opposite Sean P. Hayes. Tamala Jones has starred in the television series The Tracy Morgan Show, and the feature film Cant Hardly Wait opposite Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Nadine in Dateland was written and directed by Amie Steir, whose short films have appeared on MTV, Warner Bros. and HBO. In addition, she was the director of Zoe Loses It starring Amanda Peet and Sandra Oh.

John Davis of Davis Entertainment is the executive producer of Nadine in Dateland. Davis has produced numerous feature films including Paycheck and Garfield.

Kristen Connolly Vadas is the executive in charge for Oxygen Media. At Oxygen, Vadas has also supervised Girls Behaving Badly, Good Girls Don't, Naked Josh and Oxygens newest comedy/reality series Mr. Romance.
