[via press release from CBS]

HERES YOUR CHANCE TO BECOME THE NEXT GREAT ROCK STAR!!

Mark Burnett Productions Is Currently Conducting Open Calls To Find The New Lead Singer of the Group INXS

CBS To Premiere The Show in Summer 2005 That Combines the World of Rock Music With Relationship-Style Unscripted Drama, Performance Competition And A Weekly Contestant Elimination

CBS and Mark Burnett, the duo that launched "Survivor" as a cultural phenomenon in the summer of 2000, are teaming up again -- this time to find the next great rock star.

CBS and Burnett will debut a new reality show in the Summer of 2005 that will combine the world of rock music with relationship-style unscripted drama, performance competition and a weekly contestant elimination -- which will be determined by a combination of viewer participation, judges and INXS band members.

The last singer standing will become the lead singer of the internationally renowned band INXS, and will embark on a worldwide concert tour with the band and be part of the group's new album.

Those that make the casting cut will be housed together in a Hollywood Hills home. Each week will feature taped reality segments focusing on the relationships and conflicts that develop between the competitors, along with a performance competition and weekly results.

The series will be produced by Mark Burnett Productions. Mark Burnett, David Goffin ("American Idol"), and INXS managers David Edwards and Michael Murchison are executive producers. Conrad Riggs is co-executive producer.

The following are current dates and locations for UNTITLED ROCK STAR PROJECT (working title) open calls. Both women and men are encouraged to audition. You must be at least 21 years of age. Open Calls are on a first-come first-serve basis. Please arrive early! Due to scheduling restrictions, producers cannot guarantee everyone an audition. Producers will do their best to see everyone.
