Cupids Arrow Flies in All New Ed, Edd n Eddy Valentines Day Special
Love Labors for Laughs in Hanky Panky Hullabaloo, Airing Friday, Feb. 11, and Monday, Feb. 14
Love is in the air, and, boy, does it stink when Ed, Edd and Eddy take a big whiff in Hanky Panky Hullabaloo. The new 30-minute Ed, Edd n Eddy special makes its debut on Friday, Feb. 11, with plays at 7 p.m., 9 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. (ET, PT), with a replay on Valentines Day, Monday, Feb. 14, at 7:30 p.m. (ET, PT).
Its Valentines Day, and the halls of Peach Creek High are abuzz. Lanky Ed is bracing himself for the inevitable assault of kisses from May Kanker, but Eddys got a better idea turning the days romantic yearnings into cold, hard cash. On the other hand, Double-D sees the day for what it is: a chance to let that special someone know you care. In theory, of course.
Meanwhile, Cupids minions, who look remarkably like cul-de-sac regulars Jimmy and Sarah, are scheming to turn everything upside down. When their stray arrows strike Double-D and May, it turns this star-crossed couple into a pair of lovelorn loons. From science lab through art class and gym, the romance between Edd and May continues to blossom, much to everyone elses disgust. Once they get to the lunchroom, Ed and Eddy have a showdown with Lee and Marie Kanker that would make the Capulets and Montagues squirm.
Ed, Edd n Eddy is produced by creator and executive producer Danny Antonucci at aka Cartoons in Vancouver. The series, which made its debut in 1999, remains one of Cartoon Network's highest-rated programs and was recently given the green light for 26 additional episodes and a 30-minute Halloween special to air in October. Bolstered by the power of adolescent ignorance, Ed (the tall, gullible one), Edd (the smart, polite one) and Eddy (the resident entrepreneur and unofficial leader) share the same name and passion for jawbreakers as they plunge headlong into ridiculous, but utterly believable, adventures at school and on their cul-de-sac.
