COLD TURKEY II PREMIERES ON PAX TV, TUESDAY, APRIL 19 AT 9 P.M. ET/PT

Reality Series about Ten Unsuspecting Smokers Who Lose their Cigarettes Moves to New Time Slot

No ifs, ands or butts about it! PAX TV will premiere Cold Turkey II, the second installment of the critically acclaimed reality series, on Tuesday, April 19th at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Hosted by A.J. Benza, Cold Turkey II offers a radical solution to a habit that affects millions, while promoting a healthier way of living and revealing a positive side to reality TV. The weekly one-hour series moves from its previously scheduled timeslot of 10 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays.

Cold Turkey II kicks off with ten smokers who think they have joined the cast of the latest adventure reality show called Pushing the Limits. After the participants are dropped in the middle of the Grand Canyon, decoy host Jordan Murphy (NBCs For Love or Money) convinces them that what they are about to experience is the real thing but the cast soon discovers the host is bogus; the challenges are fake; and the eliminations are phony. Two undercover actors playing non-smokers are embedded among them to keep suspicions at bay as the smokers compete in physical challenges that secretly test their lungs. Three days later, when host Benza arrives, everything changes, and the smokers must decide whether they want to lose their cigarettes and transform their lives forever.

Cold Turkey II is produced by Visual Frontier, Inc. in association with Krasnow Productions. Stuart Krasnow, creator of Average Joe and Manhunt, and Kevin Williams (Average Joe, PBS Newtons Apple) are executive producers.

Here is a look at the Cold Turkey II contestants:

Michele Angevine, 25-year-old veterinary technician from Brooklyn, New York
