Rebecca and Tiffany Both Eliminated from Last Nights Episode of UPN's "America's Next Top Model"

[via press release from UPN]

REBECCA AND TIFFANY BOTH ELIMINATED FROM LAST NIGHTS EPISODE OF UPN'S "AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL"

In a dramatic episode featuring a surprise double-elimination, Rebecca, a former flight attendant from Minneapolis, and Tiffany, a mother from Miami, became the sixth and seventh girls eliminated from the fourth cycle of UPN's hit series AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL, reducing the pool from nine to seven.

As the week began, the girls participated in an acting class with teacher Larry Moss. The next day, the girls faced an acting challenge, using their new skills to perform a scene with actor Boris Kodjoe. While most of the girls just struggled with remembering their lines and getting into character, Tiffany began to lose her drive to succeed and Rebecca found herself unable to loosen up.

The next day, the girls participated in a sexy photo shoot with male model Rib Hillis for a Wonderbra ad. The girls had to playfully interact with Rib while wearing revealing lingerie. Rebecca failed to get into character for the risqu photo shoot, saying Im not excited like some of the girls. Im engagedIm about to be married when I get home so its a little awkward.

At the elimination panel, the girls were challenged to read fashion news from a teleprompter for the judges. All of the girls struggled with the words and mispronounced designer names, but Tiffany quit reading after a few lines, saying, I cant do this. The judges encouraged her to just do the best she could, and finally Tyra said, If you dont do this, youre gonna go home. Tiffany read some of the text and then stormed away, saying, This is humiliating more and more each week.

While deliberating over the girls teleprompter readings and photos from the lingerie shoot, the judges felt that Rebeccas look was too safe. They were also disappointed with Tiffanys defeatist attitude. The judges thought that most of the girls performances during the week had been lackluster, and that they had become complacent and stopped improving. Judge Nigel Barker said, There needs to be something that really gets the competition going again. They need a wakeup call.

During the elimination, Tyra shocked the girls by sending both Rebecca and Tiffany home from the competition. Afterward, Tyra became very upset with Tiffany for not taking the competition seriously enough. I was rooting for you, we were all rooting for you, how dare you! Learn something from thistake responsibility for yourself, said an emotional Tyra. Later, Tiffany said in confessional, Part of me did give upI was being disrespectful, but Im taking a lot home with me.

The winner of UPN's AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL will have the opportunity to be managed by Ford Models. She will also receive a $100,000 contract with cosmetics giant CoverGirl. Finally, the winner will appear in a fashion spread in Elle magazine.

The fourth installment of UPN's hit dramality series AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL follows 14 young women as they attempt to prove they have what it takes to make it in the high-stress, high-stakes world of modeling. Banks, who created the show, also serves as executive producer along with Ken Mok ("Making the Band") and Anthony Dominici ("The Amazing Race").
