NBC ORDERS COURT TV'S TOP RATED SERIES 'PSYCHIC DETECTIVES' FOR PREMIERE ON JUNE 8
BURBANK - May 27, 2005 - NBC has ordered Court TV's signature series "Psychic Detectives" to air as part of its summer lineup. "Psychic Detectives" is an investigative series that showcases the teamwork between detectives and psychics in solving some of law enforcement's hardest cases - which premieres on Wednesday, June 8 (8-9 p.m. ET).
Currently in its third season on Court TV, NBC will broadcast eight of these half-hour shows as one-hour episodes -- the stories of infamous cases are recounted from the detective's point of view. At the core of the show are investigators and psychics who share their experiences in securing unusual tips and unexplainable clues that were crucial in helping solve the most perplexing crimes.
Some of the featured stories will concern the kidnapping of a diabetic woman who will soon die without her medicine, the disappearance of a former Army paratrooper and a sexual predator who terrorizes a small town for five years.
Robyn Hutt, Vice President of Documentaries and Specials, serves as show creator for Court TV. Ed Hersh is Court TV's Executive Vice President, Current Programming and Specials, and serves as Executive in Charge of Production. "Psychic Detectives" is produced by Storyhouse Productions for Court TV. The executive producer for Story House Productions is Andreas Gutzeit.
