Mcdonalds Halftime Music Highlights Features Some of the Top Names in the Music World

MCDONALDS HALFTIME MUSIC HIGHLIGHTS FEATURES SOME OF THE TOP NAMES IN THE MUSIC WORLD

The Finals Tip Off on ABC on Thursday, June 9 at 8:30 p.m., ET

At halftime of each NBA Finals game, ABC Sports will present McDonald's Halftime Music Highlights, which will feature highlights of the games' first half set to the music of today's top artists.

The Finals begin THURSDAY, JUNE 9 on ABC with coverage of Game 1, beginning with Chevrolet NBA Game Time at 8:30 p.m. (ET). The Finals on ABC are available in HDTV.

MCDONALD'S HALFTIME MUSIC HIGHLIGHTS (game/artist/track):

Game 1: Dave Matthews Band - "Stand Up"

The Dave Matthews Band has sold more than 30 million albums over the past 12 years and has maintained a permanent position as one of America's top concert draws. Now on a 50-city U.S. tour, their current album, "Stand Up," entered the Billboard Top Album Chart at No. 1.

Game 2: Coldplay -- "Speed of Sound"

One of the most popular bands in the world today, their current album, "X & Y," released this week, will enter the Billboard Chart at No. 1.

Coldplay has received four Grammy Awards and has sold over 20 million albums.

Game 3: Stevie Wonder -- "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours"

This remix of the Stevie Wonder classic is currently featured on the album "Motown Remixed" which pairs legendary Motown performances with contemporary DJs. This all new version of "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours" was remixed by DJ Smash.

Stevie Wonder's new album, "A Time to Love," featuring the current hit single, "So What the Fuss," will be released later this summer.

For Game 3 on Tuesday, June 14, Wonder will perform both the U.S. national anthem and "So What the Fuss," from his highly anticipated album, "A Time to Love."

Game 4: Joe Perry -- "Shakin' My Cage"

The first solo album from Joe Perry in over 20 years features this first single, "Shakin' My Cage."

Joe Perry has achieved permanent iconic stature in the pantheon of rock, driving his band, Aerosmith, over the course of three decades to sales of more than 100 million albums, as well as to critical acclaim, four Grammy Awards and induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Game 5: Destiny's Child -- "Lose My Breath"

The biggest selling female R & B group in history, Destiny's Child is currently on a world tour of over 100 cities in more than a dozen countries. "Lose My Breath," the first single off the recent No. 1 album, "Destiny Fulfilled," was filmed at the Rockin' The Corps charity concert in Camp Pendleton California.

Game 6: Rob Thomas -- "This Is How a Heart Breaks"

The second single from Rob Thomas' recent No. 1 album, "Something to Be...," is currently featured as the game-opening theme to NBA on ABC Playoffs & Finals.

For nearly a decade now, Rob Thomas has been a ubiquitous presence on the musical landscape. As the primary composer and lead singer for Matchbox Twenty, he has been the driving force both behind and in front of one of the most consistently successful rock bands in recent history.

Additionally, Rob Thomas' full live performance of "This Is How a Heart Breaks" will be premiered exclusively on ESPN.com and NBA.com.

Game 7: Queen -- "Under Pressure"

One of the greatest rock bands in history will be featured in a rare, never-before-broadcast version of the Queen classic, "Under Pressure."

The 59th Finals will tip off on THURSDAY, JUNE 9, beginning at 8:30 p.m., ET and will feature the San Antonio Spurs and the Detroit Pistons going head to head. ABC Sports is the exclusive home of The Finals, which will be telecast in the U.S. and in 205 countries, with coverage taking place as follows:
