June 2005 Was ABC Family's Highest Rated and Most Watched June Ever

Burbank, CA (June 29, 2005) � Monday, June 27 (8:00 � 9:00 PM ET/PT), the ABC Family original scripted primetime drama WILDFIRE increased versus its premiere week in key demos with a 1.8 HH rating (vs. 1.7), 2,323,000 total viewers (vs. 1,968,000), a 1.0 rating with Adults 18-34 (vs. 0.7) and a 0.8 rating with Adults 18-49 (vs. 0.7). All ratings in these key demos were the highest deliveries for a scripted series in the history of the channel. The series ranked third among all basic cable in the time period with Adults 18-34, second with Women 18-34 and No. 1 with Teens 12-17 and Female Teens 12-17. Versus year ago time period programming, Wildfire increased the key demos of Adults 18-34 by 150% (1.0 vs. 0.4), Adults 18-49 by 167% (0.8 vs. 0.3) and households by 125% (1.8 vs. 0.8).

ABC Family delivered its highest rated and most watched second quarter in the history of the channel in primetime with Adults 18-49 (0.5/473,000) and most watched 2Q on record with Adults 18-34 (222,000). Year-to-year ABC Family delivered a 25% increase with Adults 18-49 (0.5 vs. 0.4).

In total day, ABC Family had its highest rated and most watched second quarter with Adults 18-49 (0.3/264,000) and most watched 2Q on record with total viewers (633,000) and Adults 18-34 (135,000). Year-to-year, ABC Family is up 20% in HH (0.6 vs. 0.5), 10% in total viewers (633,000 vs. 578,000) and 50% in both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 (0.3 vs. 0.2).

June was ABC Family's highest rated and most watched June in primetime in the channel's history in key adult demos including Adults 18-49 (510,000) and Adults 18-34 (244,000). Year-to-year ABC Family again posted double-digit increases with Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 (0.5 vs. 0.4).

Additional 2Q '05 Highlights

� In 2Q '05, Gilmore Girls led ABC Family to a first place finish weekdays 5:00-6:00 PM versus all basic cable with Adults 18-49 and 18-34 (0.5).

� April and May 2005 ABC Family delivered its largest April and May audiences in total day in the history of the channel in 000's, in households, total viewers, Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.

Additional June Highlights

� The basic cable premiere (June 19, 3:00 � 7:00 PM) of HARRY POTTER & THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS, was basic cable's most watched program in the time period delivering over 1.9 total viewers. The premiere ranked No. 2 with Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 (0.9). The encore of the movie (7:00 � 11:00 PM) delivered over 2.2 million total viewers, making it the fourth most watched program in the time period among all basic cable.
