PRODUCTION HAS BEGUN IN STUDIO CITY ON THE COMEDY SERIES "LESS THAN PERFECT," STARRING SARA RUE ON THE ABC TELEVISION NETWORK

Production has begun in Studio City on the comedy series "Less than Perfect," starring Sara Rue. Rue portrays Claudia "Claude" Casey, an assistant at GNB trying to rise through the ranks in news production. The series will return for midseason on the ABC Television Network.

Claude returns from vacation abroad and is crestfallen to learn her boss, anchorman Will Butler, has left GNB to become ambassador to Spain. Her fortunes quickly change, however, when she gets the opportunity to work in news production. But to Claude's dismay, she must do so as the assistant of Lydia (Andrea Parker), a condescending co-worker who has been promoted to producer by her husband and new GNB anchorman, Jeb Denton (Patrick Warburton). As Will's assistant, Claude had some power over her snobby associates, but the tables are turned now, with Lydia as her boss and Kipp (Zachary Levi), another backstabbing coworker, in her old job as assistant to the anchorman. Fortunately Claude still has the support of three friends at GNB: the brash and blunt Ramona (Sherri Shepherd), the well-intentioned but idiosyncratic Owen (Andy Dick), and the lovable cafeteria manager and Claude's next-door neighbor, Carl (Will Sasso).

In this fourth season, Claude navigates her way through her new position, dealing with opportunities she gets working for a news producer, but also with the trials and tribulations of working for such a demanding, petty boss. Claude also continues to try to find her place in New York and to experience both success and setbacks in the dating world.

"Less than Perfect" stars Sara Rue as Claude Casey, Sherri Shepherd as Ramona Platt, Andrea Parker as Lydia Weston, Zachary Levi as Kipp Steadman, Will Sasso as Carl Monari, Patrick Warburton as Jeb Denton and Andy Dick as Owen Kronsky.

Christine Zander, Nina Wass and Gene Stein serve as executive producers. "Less than Perfect," which is filmed before an audience, is from Touchstone Television.
