COMEDY CENTRAL Is Committed To "Comedians Of Comedy" A Weekly, Half-Hour Show On Tour With Top Comics

Show Will Follow Comedians Patton Oswalt, Brian Posehn, Maria Bamford And Zach Galifianakis As They Go On Tour, Premiering Early Next Year

NEW YORK, August 15, 2005 -- COMEDY CENTRAL offers a glimpse of the unusual and often hilarious lives of four of the network's most popular comedians as they tour the US. "Comedians of Comedy" begins shooting July 27 in Baltimore MD followed by performances in New York NY, Philadelphia PA, Atlantic City NJ, Boston MA and ends with a show in Martha's Vineyard. "Comedians of Comedy" will air early 2006.

The series will feature Patton Oswalt, Brian Posehn, Maria Bamford and Zach Galifianakis, who have all appeared on COMEDY CENTRAL in their own stand-up specials. The show follows them on tour this summer and viewers will see them both on stage and behind-the-scenes (in the van, the hotels, horsing around, trying out new material on each other, etc.).

The executive producers for "Comedians of Comedy" are Patton Oswalt, Dave Rath, Kara Welker and DJ Paul. Mike Bleiden is the producer and director.

Lou Wallach and Zoe Friedman are the COMEDY CENTRAL executives in charge of production.

"We are always looking for new ways to expand the way we produce stand-up programming" said Wallach. "'Comedians of Comedy' fits the bill because it takes our viewers behind-the-scenes and on the road with some of their favorite comedians. Patton Oswalt is a terrific talent and has assembled an incredible line-up, we're excited to be working with them all again."

Oswalt will also be one of the featured comedians on tour. He has been headlining clubs all over the U.S. since 1996. In 1999 Variety chose him as one of ten "Comedians to Watch" and in 2002 he was Entertainment Weekly's "It" Comedian. Oswalt has filmed a half-hour special for HBO, as well as an hour-long special for COMEDY CENTRAL and he is a regular on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and will reprise his role as Spence on the sixth season of "The King of Queens" on CBS.

COMEDY CENTRAL, the only all-comedy network, currently is seen in more than 87 million homes nationwide. COMEDY CENTRAL is owned by Comedy Partners, a wholly-owned division of MTV Networks. COMEDY CENTRAL is a registered trademark of Comedy Partners. COMEDY CENTRAL's Internet address is http://www.comedycentral.com.
