Jessica Robinson Is the Eighth Performer Eliminated from the Competition on "Rock Star: Inxs"

[via press release from CBS]

JESSICA ROBINSON IS THE EIGHTH PERFORMER ELIMINATED FROM THE COMPETITION ON "ROCK STAR: INXS"

Seven Contestants Remain In the Competition To Become The Lead Singer of the Band INXS

After falling into the bottom three in viewer votes, and after a collective decision by the band, Jessica Robinson, a coffee barista from Chicago, was eliminated last night from the competition to become the new lead singer of INXS on ROCK STAR: INXS.

At the Tuesday performance show, early voting revealed the bottom three contestants as Jessica Robbins, Deanna Johnston and Ty Taylor. However, host Brooke Burke informed the audience and the performers that as the voting continued the results switched and Suzie McNeil replaced Ty Taylor in the bottom three.

Jessica performed "Mystify," a song picked for her by the band. She learned her fate from Tim Farriss, a member of the band, who said that "she just wasn't right for INXS." She becomes the eighth singer eliminated from the competition, following Dana Robbins, Wil Seabrook, Neal Carlson, Heather Luttrell, Daphna Dove, Tara Slone and Brandon Calhoon.

The seven remaining performers will continue in the competition vying to become the new lead singer of INXS. ROCK STAR: INXS is broadcast on Tuesdays (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) and Wednesdays (9:00-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network and Sundays (8:00-8:30 PM, ET/PT) on VH1. Dave Navarro and Brooke Burke are the hosts.
