"THE BERNIE MAC SHOW" SEASON PREMIERE, WITH GUEST STARS ANTHONY ANDERSON AND PRO WRESTLER STEVE AUSTIN, EXPANDS TO ONE HOUR ON FRIDAY, SEPT. 23

"MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE" WITH GUEST STAR ROSANNA ARQUETTE TO PREMIERE FRIDAY, SEPT. 30, ON FOX

Season five of THE BERNIE MAC SHOW will premiere with a special one-hour broadcast on Friday, Sept. 23 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT), and MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE is now set to launch its seventh season Friday, Sept. 30 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

In the "Father Knows Best" episode of THE BERNIE MAC SHOW Friday, Sept. 23 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT), Bryan, a cool guy from the Chicago block, portrayed by Anthony Anderson ("Hustle and Flow," FX's "The Shield"), arrives on Bernie's doorstep, claiming he's Bryana's father. Bernie is cautiously supportive until Bryan ignores Jordan and Vanessa and tries to buy Bryana's affection.

In "Wrestling with a Sticky Situation" on Sept. 23 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT), Jordan is recruited onto the wrestling team and starts winning by default as there is never anyone to compete against in his weight class. But when he eats himself out of that class, Jordan is forced to lose weight or lose face. Bernie gets some expert advice when superstar pro wrestler Steve Austin joins him in his confessional.

Rosanna Arquette ("Desperately Seeking Susan") guest-stars on the seventh season premiere of MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE Friday, Sept. 30 (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. In the "Burning Man" episode, Malcolm and Reese try to sneak off to the Burning Man festival, but when Lois and Hal catch wind of their plans, they decide to borrow an RV and make it a family trip. At the festival, sparks fly between Malcolm and an older shaman (Arquette), Lois learns the joy of hemp and goes topless, and Hal becomes performance art. The festivities come to a screeching halt when the RV goes up in flames.

Beginning Friday, Sept. 30 THE BERNIE MAC SHOW and MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE will air in their regular time periods, 8:00-8:30 PM and 8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT, respectively.

THE BERNIE MAC SHOW is executive-produced by Warren Hutcherson, Steve Tompkins and Bernie Mac and produced by Regency Television in association with 20th Century Fox Television.

MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE is a Regency Television production created by Linwood Boomer and executive-produced by Matthew Carlson. Gary Murphy, Michael Glouberman, Alex Reid, Rob Ulin, Eric Kaplan and Jay Kogen serve as co-executive producers and Linwood Boomer serves as a consultant.
