NBC TO TELECAST THE 2005 RADIO MUSIC AWARDS ON DECEMBER 19
NBC TO TELECAST THE 2005 RADIO MUSIC AWARDS LIVE FROM LAS VEGAS ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 19
BURBANK - September 6, 2005 - On Monday, Debecer 19, the biggest names in music will return to Las Vegas to celebrate their successes at the 2005 Radio Music Awards (RMAs). Thought of by the music industry as the Golden Globes of music award shows because of its casual and spontaneous party-style atmosphere, this year's live show from Las Vegas promises to be even bigger than last.
Highlights from the 2004 RMAs included an incredible opening performance by Destiny's Child, a highly anticipated live performance from Ashlee Simpson and the Legend Award given to Janet Jackson. Other performers included Elton John, Tim McGraw, Nelly, Chingy, Gretchen Wilson with Big and Rich, Train and many more.
Last year, the show earned a 3.3/7 rating in the coveted 18-49 demo topping such rival award shows of the past season as 'The People's Choice Awards,' 'The Billboard Music Awards,' 'The Teen Choice Awards,' 'The World Music Awards' and others.
'The 2005 Radio Music Awards'" will be produced by Tall Pony Productions. Tony Eaton, Von Freeman, Paul Joseph and David Broome are executive producers.
