COURT TV ACQUIRES NEWEST LAW & ORDER SERIES, TRIAL BY JURY FROM NBC/UNIVERSAL

Network Will Begin Airing in December, Deal Includes World Premiere of a Never-Before-Seen Episode

New York, NY October 7, 2005 Court TV has announced the acquisition of Law & Order: Trial By Jury, the most recent series in Dick Wolfs signature brand, including one never-before-seen episode that will premiere on the network. Thirteen episodes of the courtroom drama will begin airing Saturdays in December, in a two hour block from 7:00-9:00 PM ET/PT. The show, which stars Bebe Neuwirth as Assistant District Attorney Tracey Kibre and former United States Senator Fred Dalton Thompson as District Attorney Arthur Branch, tells its stories not only from the prosecutions point of view, but includes the perspectives of the defense attorneys, defendants, judges and jurors. TNT, another Time Warner network, has also acquired four TBJ crossover episodes featuring Jerry Orbach.

We are delighted to add the NBC dramatic series, Law & Order: Trial By Jury to Court TVs primetime schedule, said Court TV Chairman and CEO Henry Schleiff. Since our network has become most known for its original documentaries, movies and other true stories, we are very selective in buying only the very best fictional series, as evidenced by our previous acquisitions of the Emmy Award-winning, Homicide and NYPD Blue. Given our viewers interest in dramatic stories of life in the courthouse, we believe this Law & Order series will work particularly well on Court TV.

I am so delighted that we have extended the Law & Order brand to Court TV, said creator/executive producer Dick Wolf. I know Court TVs audience will particularly appreciate the legal and human aspects of the stories we tell.

Court TV provides a window on the American system of justice through distinctive programming that both informs and entertains. The Court TV NetworksSM are comprised of Court TV NewsSM, which provides live gavel-to-gavel trial coverage in daytime; and Court TV: Seriously EntertainingSM in primetime, featuring investigative drama, expert reality and relevant non-fiction series. Court TV is 50% owned by Time Warner, and 50% owned by Liberty Media Corp, and is seen in 85 million homes. (www.courttv.com or AOL Keyword: Court TV.)
