TRACEE ELLIS ROSS TO HOST "AN ALL-STAR SALUTE TO PATTI LABELLE: LIVE FROM ATLANTIS," TUESDAY, NOV. 8 AT 9:00 PM ON UPN

UPN announced today that Tracee Ellis Ross (GIRLFRIENDS) will host AN ALL-STAR SALUTE TO PATTI LABELLE: LIVE FROM ATLANTIS, a one-hour special event celebrating Grammy Award-winning artist Patti LaBelle's 45 years in the music industry, to be broadcast Tuesday, Nov. 8 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on UPN.

As a tribute to LaBelle on this exceptional night, her hits will be performed by Nelly, Kelly Rowland, Ashanti, Michael McDonald, Boyz II Men, Mario, Gerald Levert and Yolanda Adams, all from Atlantis, Paradise Island Resort in the Bahamas.

LaBelle will also take part in a special performance of "Lady Marmalade" with Nona Hendryx and Sarah Dash, back together as "Labelle" for the first time in five years.

As host, Ross ad-libs some friendly banter with guests and the audience as she introduces the various acts, leading to an impromptu moment with one of Patti Labelle's biggest fans, Jimmy Fallon. Fallon adds his own charm when he does a surprise impersonation of one of the performers at the show.

Tracee Ellis Ross portrays Joan Clayton on the long-running UPN hit comedy GIRLFRIENDS and recently won the BET Comedy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. She was also named by the Los Angeles Times as a "Face to Watch" following her television debut as host of Lifetime's "The Dish." Her other television credits include the MTV sketch comedy "Lyricist Lounge." Last year, she made history with her cast mates when they co-hosted the "2004 NAACP Image Awards," which is the first time in the program's history that one woman, more or less four, hosted the awards special. Ross's big-screen credits include, "Far Harbor," "Hanging Up," and she will next be seen co-starring opposite Beau Bridges and Hector Elizondo in "I SeeYou.com."

Atlantis, with its vast waterscape, including the worlds largest open-air marine habitat, waterslides and powder-white beaches, has long been a favorite destination of celebrities. Atlantis has played host to many concerts and productions, but this is the first time the resort will have such a large roster of world-renown talent all participating in the same event.

Ken Ehrlich ("The Grammy Awards," "The Emmy Awards") will produce the event in conjunction with Kerzner International, Ryamar Entertainment and Pattonium, Inc. Legendary musician Greg Phillinganes will serve as musical director.
