Last night's CSI: NY, the conclusion of a crossover with Monday's episode of CSI: MIAMI, dominated its time period competition as it delivered its most watched episode since September 2004 and highest rated in key demographics in nearly a year, according to preliminary Nielsen affiliate ratings for Wednesday, Nov. 9.
At 10PM, CSI: NY was first in households (12.1/20), viewers (18.71m), adults 18-34 (5.1/15), adults 18-49 (6.4/17) and adults 25-54 (7.7/18). CSI: NY easily topped NBC's "Law & Order" by +61% in households (vs. 7.5/12), +73% in viewers (vs. 10.84m), +82% in adults 18-34 (vs. 2.8/08), +78% in adults 18-49 (vs. 3.6/09) and +71% in adults 25-54 (vs. 4.5/11). CSI: NY dominated ABC's "Invasion" by +92% in households (vs. 6.3/10), +91% in viewers (vs. 9.82m), +55% in adults 18-34 (3.3/10), +64% in both adults 18-49 (vs. 3.9/10) and adults 25-54 (vs. 4.7/11).
This is CSI: NY's best households and viewer delivery since 9/29/04, best adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 performance since 11/17/04 (the series high in adults 18-34).
Compared to last week (then season highs), CSI: NY was up +14% in households (from 10.6/18), +20% in viewers (from 15.70m), +19% in adults 18-49 (from 5.4/15) and +20% in adults 25-54 (from 6.4/16).
Freshman drama CRIMINAL MINDS was second in households (9.8/15), viewers (15.05m), adults 25-54 (5.7/13) and adults 18-49 (4.3/11). CRIMINAL MINDS finished in its closest competitive position to a first run episode of "Lost" to date in households, viewers, adults 18-34 (3.3/11), adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. CRIMINAL MINDS delivered its best households, viewers, adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 delivery to date against a first run "Lost" episode and the program's second best delivery on a Wednesday ever in those key measures.
For the night, CBS was first in viewers (14.17m) and second in adults 18-49 (4.5/12) and adults 25-54 (5.6/13). This marks CBS's strongest Wednesday so far this season and highest rated since 3/23/05 in viewers, households, adults 18-49, adults 18-34 and adults 25-54.

Last night's CSI: NY, the conclusion of a crossover with Monday's episode of CSI: MIAMI, dominated its time period competition as it delivered its most watched episode since September 2004 and highest rated in key demographics in nearly a year, according to final national Nielsen ratings for Wednesday, Nov. 9.
At 10PM, CSI: NY was first in households (12.3/20), viewers (19.23m), adults 18-34 (5.2/15), adults 18-49 (6.5/17) and adults 25-54 (7.9/19). CSI: NY easily topped NBC's "Law & Order" by +64% in households (vs. 7.5/12), +77% in viewers (vs. 10.86m), +86% in adults 18-34 (vs. 2.8/08), +81% in adults 18-49 (vs. 3.6/09) and +76% in adults 25-54 (vs. 4.5/11). CSI: NY dominated ABC's "Invasion" by +98% in households (vs. 6.2/10), +97% in viewers (vs. 9.76m), +58% in adults 18-34 (3.3/10), +67% in adults 18-49 (vs 3.9/10) and +68% in adults 25-54 (vs. 4.7/11).
This is CSI: NY's best households, viewers and adults 25-54 delivery since 9/29/04; and best adults 18-34 and adults 18-49 since 11/17/04 (the series high in adults 18-34).
