Network Posts Season High Viewer and Key Demographic Deliveries

CBS Leads the November Sweep In Viewers and Key Demographics

CBS streaked to its sixth consecutive weekly victory in adults 18-49, seventh in adults 25-54 and ninth in viewers, all with season high deliveries, according to Nielsen ratings for the week ending Nov. 20, week nine of the 2005-2006 season.

Through the first 18 days of the November 2005 sweep, CBS is first in households (9.5/15), viewers (14.71m), adults 25-54 (5.6/13) and adults 18-49 (4.5/12).

For the week in viewers, CBS (15.22m) topped ABC (11.66m), NBC (9.59m) and FOX (6.96m). This is the first time one network has won the first nine weeks of the television season in viewers since NBC won weeks 1-9 in the 1988-89 season. Season-to-date, CBS (13.39m) is first followed by ABC (10.94m), NBC (9.36m) and FOX (8.55m).

For the week in households, CBS (9.9/16) enjoyed a +34% advantage over ABC (7.4/12), +55% over NBC (6.4/10) and +130% over FOX (4.3/07). Season-to-date, CBS (8.7/14) is outpacing ABC by +23% (7.1/11), NBC by +38% (6.3/10) and FOX by +58% (5.5/09).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (5.7/14) for the seventh consecutive week, first in adults 18-49 (4.6/12) for the sixth week in a row and second in adults 18-34 (3.2/10). This is CBS's best delivery in adults 25-54, adults 18-49 and adults 18-34 since the week ending 5/15/05 (a week that included the finales of THE AMAZING RACE 7 and SURVIVOR: PALAU). Compared to the same week last year (which did not included the CMA Awards), CBS was up +9% in households, +4% in adults 25-54 and +5% in adults 18-49. Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (5.2/12) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (4.1/11, with ABC).

� THE KING OF QUEENS was first in households (7.3/11), viewers (10.93m) and adults 25-54 (4.3/10) for the eighth consecutive week and first in adults 18-49 (3.5/09) for the seventh time in eight weeks.

� HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was first in households (6.8/10) and viewers (10.36m) for the fourth consecutive week. HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER was also first in adults 25-54 (4.5/10) and adults 18-49 (3.7/09) for the third time in four weeks.

� CSI: MIAMI was second in households (12.9/19), viewers (19.36m), adults 25-54 (7.9/18) and adults 18-49 (6.4/16), all behind football. Season-to-date, this matches CSI: MIAMI best delivery this season and is the second best viewers delivery. CSI: MIAMI was the night's Number One program in households and viewers.

� THE 39th ANNUAL CMA AWARDS posted an 11.1/17 with 17.73m viewers, 6.7/15 in adults 25-54 and 5.4/13 in adults 18-49 Tuesday night. CBS was first in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 for the entire night with CBS Research estimates that more than 36 million viewers watched all or part of the ceremony. The show was also Tuesday night's Number One program in households, adults 25-54 and viewers. This is CBS's best Tuesday delivery in households, viewers and adults 25-54 since 11/9/04 (THE 38th ANNUAL CMA AWARDS) and the best adults 18-49 since 5/10/05 (NCIS/THE AMAZING RACE 7 FINALE).

� I WALK THE LINE: A NIGHT FOR JOHNNY CASH (S) was first in households (8.2/13), viewers (12.51m), adults 25-54 (3.9/10) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (2.9/08, with NBC). This is CBS's best delivery in the time period since 3/23/05 (SURVIVOR: PALAU WEDNESDAY SPECIAL) in households, viewers and key demos.

� CSI: NY was first in households (10.2/17), viewers (15.69m), adults 25-54 (6.6/16), adults 18-49 (5.5/14) and adults 18-34 (4.5/13). CSI: NY easily topped NBC's "Law & Order" by +31% in households (vs. 7.8/13), +37% in viewers (vs. 11.45m), +88% in adults 18-34 (vs. 2.4/07), +62% in adults 18-49 (vs. 3.4/09) and +50% in adults 25-54 (vs. 4.4/10). CSI: NY dominated ABC's "Invasion" by +55% in households (vs. 6.6/11), +52% in viewers (vs. 10.32m), +18% in adults 18-34 (3.8/11), +31% in adults 18-49 (vs. 4.2/11) and +32% in adults 25-54 (vs. 5.0/12).

� Thursday, CBS was first in households (14.4/22), viewers (23.20m), adults 25-54 (9.5/22), adults 18-49 (7.7/20) and adults 18-34 (5.4/16). This is CBS's best Thursday delivery in viewers season-to-date. CBS has won every Thursday this season in households, viewers, adults 18-34, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. Compared to the third Thursday of the November sweep last year (which included the 100th episode of CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION), CBS extended its margin of victory over NBC in households (+6.7 from +4.4), viewers (+11.66m from +8.37m), adults 25-54 (+3.7 from +2.3), adults 18-49 (+2.6 from +1.4) and moved into first place in adults 18-34 (+1.1 from -0.2).

� SURVIVOR: GUATEMALA won its time period in households (11.2/17), viewers (18.82m), adults 25-54 (7.3/19), adults 18-49 (6.4/17) and adults 18-34 (4.2/12).

� CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was first in households (17.8/27), viewers (28.99m), adults 25-54 (12.3/27), adults 18-49 (9.9/24) and adults 18-34 (7.3/20). CSI beat NBC, ABC and FOX combined in households (vs. 13.7/21, +30%), viewers (vs. 20.21m, +43%), adults 25-54 (vs. 9.5/21, +29%) and adults 18-49 (vs. 8.5/21, +16%).

� WITHOUT A TRACE won its time period in households (14.0/23), viewers (21.66m) adults 25-54 (8.2/20) and second in adults 18-49 (6.7/18).

� GHOST WHISPERER won its time period in households (7.7/13), viewers (12.05m), adults 25-54 (4.6/14), adults 18-49 (3.3/11) and adults 18-34 (2.0/08). GHOST WHISPERER has won its time slot every week this season in households, viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54.

� CLOSE TO HOME won its time period in households (7.7/13), viewers (11.64m), adults 25-54 (4.4/12), adults 18-49 (3.2/10) and adults 18-34 (2.1/07). CLOSE TO HOME retained 100% of last week's adults 18-49 delivery, 99% of households and 98% of both viewers and adults 25-54

� NUMB3RS was first for the ninth consecutive week in households (8.2/14), viewers (12.44m), adults 25-54 (4.8/13) and first for the eighth time in nine weeks in adults 18-49 (3.5/11).

� 60 MINUTES (7:48-8:48 PM) posted an 11.9/18 with 18.13m viewers, 5.5/12 in adults 25-54 and 4.3/11 in adults 18-49. This is 60 MINUTES best delivery in households since 10/31/04, viewers since 12/19/04, adults 25-54 since 1/16/05 and adults 18-49 since 10/23/05.

� CBS SUNDAY MOVIE "Snow Wonder" (9:48-11:48PM) scored an 8.2/14 with 11.77m viewers. "Snow Wonder" was up +22% in households and +17% in viewers compared to the MOVIE's season-to-date delivery.
