HBO Receives 17 Golden Globe Nominations, the Most of Any Television Network This Year

HBO received 17 Golden Globe nominations, the most of any television network this year, for the upcoming 63rd annual Golden Globe Awards, which were announced today in Los Angeles. "Empire Falls" led all HBO programming with 4 nominations, while "Warm Springs" received 3 nominations. The Golden Globe Awards will be presented Jan. 16 in Los Angeles.

HBO's Golden Globe nominations this year include:

4 nominations for "Empire Falls," including Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television, Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television (Ed Harris), Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television (Joanne Woodward), and Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television (Paul Newman).

3 nominations for "Warm Springs," including Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television, Best Performance by an Actress in a Mini-Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television (Cynthia Nixon), and Best Performance by an Actor in a Mini-Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television (Kenneth Branagh).

2 nominations for "Curb Your Enthusiasm," including Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy and Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy (Larry David).

2 nominations for "Entourage," including Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy and Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television (Jeremy Piven).

2 nominations for "Lackawanna Blues," including Best Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television and Best Performance by an Actress in a Mini-Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television (S. Epatha Merkerson).
