'Millionaire' and Netflix Join Forces for 'Million Dollar Movie Week,' Airing February 20 - 24

NEW YORK, Jan. 25 -- "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire," hosted by the Emmy Award-winning Meredith Vieira, will kick off the month of February with "Walk In and Win" Week, where contestants will be selected from the studio audience. The specialty week was taped in January, 2006, at the "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire -- PLAY IT!" attraction in the Disney-MGM Studios at the Walt Disney World(R) Resort in Florida. Find out if people who walk in off the street and into the hot seat will be able to walk away with the top prize of one million dollars!

"Millionaire" also will partner with Netflix, the world's largest online movie rental service, to present "Million Dollar Movie Week," featuring hot seat contestants who will test their knowledge on movie-themed questions. Through a random drawing, 325 lucky people were chosen to be in the studio audience. Throughout the five-episode series, ten people were chosen from the audience to play in the "Millionaire" hot seat. Tune-in to find out if anyone was able to walk in as a regular audience member and walk out a millionaire!

"Walk In and Win" contestants were given the unique opportunity to bypass the traditional process of becoming a contestant. The studio audience was checked for eligibility and met briefly with a "Millionaire" producer, but no qualifying test was administered.

Hot seat contestants will try to win one million dollars by answering 15 movie-themed questions, some of which will feature clips from some of the most memorable films in history.

In addition, each day home viewers will have a chance to participate in the "Netflix Movie Week Sweepstakes," in which they can enter to win one of five Toshiba 20-inch widescreen LCD TVs, with a built-in slot loading DVD player. One prize will be awarded for each day of "Million Dollar Movie Week." Participants can enter once per day by going to http://www.netflix.com/millionaire.

Each contestant chosen for "Million Dollar Movie Week" was given a free one-year subscription to Netflix. All audience members in attendance for the specialty shows were given free three-month subscriptions to Netflix.
