iTunes Deal Launches With 56 Half-Hour Episodes of 'South Park,' 'COMEDY CENTRAL Stand-Up' and 'Drawn Together'

NEW YORK, Jan. 26 -- Stand-up and get animated! COMEDY CENTRAL is launching on iTunes today, with 56 half-hour episodes featuring the network's leading franchises -- the Emmy Award-winning "South Park," "Drawn Together" and "COMEDY CENTRAL Stand-Up." To promote and celebrate the deal, a download of a new episode of COMEDY CENTRAL's hit-animated reality series "Drawn Together" will be available on Monday, January 30, three days in advance of the February 1, network debut -- making this an "iTunes Episode Premiere."

"We are thrilled to premiere a new episode prior to its network airing and to launch COMEDY CENTRAL video content on iTunes," said Michele Ganeless, general manager and evp, COMEDY CENTRAL. "Partnering with Apple extends our brand to the burgeoning iTunes audience and further strengthens COMEDY CENTRAL's commitment to providing our viewers access to programming -- anytime, anywhere."

Beginning on January 26, iTunes Music Store, the world's most popular video download store, joins forces with COMEDY CENTRAL, the only all-comedy network, to offer consumers an extensive library of downloadable comedic video content including adult animation and stand-up. Through the coming weeks and months, COMEDY CENTRAL will continue to add to the iTunes library, dipping into the network's existing catalog. From previously released on DVD episodes of "South Park" and "Drawn Together" to new episodes of "South Park" and "Drawn Together" available for download, in advance of their DVD release.

For one week, iTunes users will have the opportunity to get a free copy of a new episode of COMEDY CENTRAL's hit series "Drawn Together," the first original animated reality series. This episodic download will be available exclusively on iTunes on Monday, January 30, three days in advance of the episode's February 1 network premiere. This is the second of eight new "Drawn Together" episodes scheduled to air on COMEDY CENTRAL. The new season of "Drawn Together" kicked-off on Wednesday, January 25 at 10:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

The "iTunes Episode Premiere" of "Drawn Together," features Captain Hero mourning the death of his never-before-seen sidekick, Captain Girl. Wooldoor vies for the open position and, in a bizarre twist, discovers that Captain Girl never really existed, thus securing the role for Wooldoor. Meanwhile, Toot is more miserable than ever and thinks having a baby will solve all her problems. The gang brings Toot a Nicaraguan baby to teach her how to be more responsible, but her inept parenting leads to the baby shop lifting, getting tattoos and, ultimately, having a baby itself.

For $1.99 per episode, consumers can download COMEDY CENTRAL shows from the iTunes Music Store and view them on their iPods or computers. iTunes users will have access to 56 half-hour episodes from the following COMEDY CENTRAL programming:
