John Leguizamo Gets His "Freak" On! The Network Television Premiere Of "John Leguizamo: Freak" Airs On Comedy Central Monday, February 6 At 10:00 P.M.

NEW YORK, January 30, 2006 -- COMEDY CENTRAL knows a good freak show when they see it. John Leguizamo stars in his own one-man show, "John Leguizamo: Freak" that will make its Network Television Premiere on COMEDY CENTRAL Monday, February 6 at 10:00 p.m.

This Emmy Award-winning one-hour stand-up special captures the self-described "freak" Leguizamo himself. During the show, he recounts his life growing up and recreates his efforts to make his father understand him despite his "freakish" manner. Highlights from the hysterical special include: the comic's examination of his most vivid childhood memories, details of his family barbecues at Flushing Meadow Park; breaking the antenna on his father's beloved television set; and how Leguizamo managed to get his family kicked out of several different ethnic neighborhoods.

An encore presentation of "John Leguizamo: Freak" airs Monday, February 6 at 12:00 a.m.

Leguizamo was born in Bogota, Colombia on July 24, 1964. He majored in theatre at New York University and first exploded on the New York comedy scene with his outrageously funny one-man show, "Mambo Man." Two years later, he followed up with his satirical production called "Spic-O-Rama." He has made several appearances on various television series including his current role as Dr. Ernesto Clemente on NBC's "ER" and his film credits include "Ice Age" and "Die Hard 2."

COMEDY CENTRAL, the only all-comedy network, currently is seen in more than 87 million homes nationwide. COMEDY CENTRAL is owned by Comedy Partners, a wholly-owned division of MTV Networks. COMEDY CENTRAL is a registered trademark of Comedy Partners. COMEDY CENTRAL's Internet address is http://www.comedycentral.com.
