USA NETWORK SETS ITS SIGHTS ON LESLEY ANN WARREN

NEW YORK -- March 3, 2006 -- Golden Globe Award winner and Oscar and Emmy nominee, Lesley Ann Warren ("Desperate Housewives," "Will & Grace") has been added to the cast of USA Network's drama pilot IN PLAIN SIGHT, joining previously announced cast members Mary McCormack ("Traffic," "The West Wing"), Frederick Weller ("Law & Order: Criminal Intent," "The Shape of Things"), Todd Williams ("Tilt," "Third Watch") and Nichole Hiltz ("NYPD Blue," "Strong Medicine").

Warren plays Jinx, the mother of central character Mary Shannon (McCormack). In the pilot, penned by David Maples ("Huff," "Home Improvement"), Jinx lives with Mary, a U.S. Marshal who works with the witness protection program - an extremely intense job that Mary attempts to balance with her equally intense and amusingly dysfunctional personal life. Making this delicate balance more of a juggling act is Jinx, who is fifty-five, looks forty and dresses twenty-five. As emotionally driven as her daughter is emotionally controlled, Jinx and Mary are close, but mother-daughter angst bubbles near the surface. Casting comes on the heels of Warren's turn as Sophie Bremmer, Susan's (Teri Hatcher) delightfully ditsy mother on the hit series "Desperate Housewives."
