NBC'S POPULAR DRAMA SERIES "CROSSING JORDAN" CELEBRATES ITS 100TH EPISODE AS SEASON FINALE ON SUNDAY, MAY 7
BURBANK, Calif. -- March 29, 2006 -- Currently in its fifth season, the procedural drama "Crossing Jordan" will air its 100th episode as the season finale on NBC, Sunday, May 7 (10-11 p.m. ET). The cast and crew celebrated this important milestone with an event on set with network and studio executives, during the filming of the finale episode.
In this episode titled "It Had To Be You," which will be directed by Executive Producer Allan Arkush, Jordan (Jill Hennessy) will find herself in an unexpected situation that will challenge her both professionally and personally. After celebrating Lily's (Kathryn Hahn) engagement, Jordan wakes up the next morning with a gun in her hand lying next to the body of her former beau J.D. Pollack (guest star Charles Mesure), who has a bullet in his chest. With little recollection of the previous night's events and no explanation for what transpired, a shell-shocked Jordan becomes the number one suspect.
Determined to clear Jordan's name, Macy (Miguel Ferrer) and the rest of the team begin investigating the series of events leading up to Pollack's death. However, Woody (Jerry O'Connell) and Lu (Leslie Bibb), who have recently become romantically linked, take opposing sides on the case, creating a wedge between them. With the evidence stacking up against Jordan, she is faced with the challenge of persuading her friends and colleagues that she is innocent. Or is she? Ravi Kapoor and Steve Valentine also star.
The same night as the season finale, viewers will also be able to tune in to the concluding webcast of the show's interactive web site www.nigelblog.com. Launched March 12, Nigel's blog allows fans to play Cupid in the love triangle between Lily, her longtime friend and co-worker Bug (Ravi Kapoor), and her new love interest Brandau (Ethan Sandler). Looming questions will be answered, and all will know whether she walks down the aisle with Brandau or whether she finds love with Bug.
"Crossing Jordan" is from Tailwind Productions in association with NBC Universal Television Studio. Tim Kring (NBC's "Providence") is creator and executive producer; Dennis Hammer and Allan Arkush are executive producers.
