Winner to Be Revealed in Live Two-Hour Spectacular

The countdown has begun to the biggest night on television � the AMERICAN IDOL season finale. This record-breaking fifth season continues to captivate viewers with talented contestants, stellar guest artists and dynamic weekly performances. When the competition is whittled down to the final two contestants, they will battle it out live from the renowned Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, CA, Tuesday, May 23 (8:00-9:00 PM live ET/tape-delayed PT) on FOX. On Wednesday, May 24 (8:00-10:00 PM live ET/tape-delayed PT), the newest AMERICAN IDOL will be crowned before thousands of fans and millions of television viewers.

The explosive fifth season of AMERICAN IDOL has surpassed last year's ratings by +13% among Adults 18-49 (13.0/32 vs. 11.5/29), +10% among Adults 18-34 (11.9/33 vs. 10.8/30), +4% among Teens (9.8/29 vs. 9.4/29) and +14% in Total Viewers (31.1 vs. 27.2 Mil).
