Samie Kim Falvey Named Senior Vice President, Comedy Development, for ABC Entertainment

SAMIE KIM FALVEY NAMED SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, COMEDY DEVELOPMENT, FOR ABC ENTERTAINMENT

Samie Kim Falvey has been named senior vice president, Comedy Development, for ABC Entertainment. The announcement came today from Francie Calfo, executive vice president, Development & Current, ABC. In this role Ms. Falvey will oversee the development and production of all comedy pilots for ABC Entertainment.

�Samie has great creative instincts, combined with a broad depth of experience with comedy development,� said Ms. Calfo. �She is incredibly enthusiastic and smart, and is really well respected in the creative community. She is a real coup for our division.�

Previously Ms. Falvey was vice president of Comedy Development at Fox Broadcasting Company, where she developed �Kitchen Confidential,� �The War at Home� with Michael Rapaport, and �The Loop.� In addition, she helped develop Seth MacFarlane�s animated political satire �American Dad� and �Til Death,� the upcoming examination of marriage starring Brad Garrett.

Ms. Falvey began her career with Fox in 1999 in the Current Programming department, where she worked on comedies and dramas including Emmy Award winners �The Bernie Mac Show,� �King of the Hill,� �The Simpsons� and �Ally McBeal.� She also covered Judd Apatow�s critical darling, �Undeclared,� in addition to the hit comedies �The Family Guy,� �That �70s Show,� �Titus� and �Grounded for Life.� On the drama side she covered Mike White�s �Pasadena� and David E. Kelley�s classroom drama, �Boston Public.�
