Golden Globe� and Screen Actors Guild Award� nominee Kyra Sedgwick (The Woodsman, Loverboy, Cavedweller) scores a triumph as the star of this taut police drama from the producers of Nip/Tuck and The Agency. The show delivered more than 5.3 million households for its June 13, 2005, premiere, making it ad-supported cable�s top original scripted series telecast ever. In THE CLOSER, which also earned a SAG Award� nomination for its ensemble cast, Sedgwick stars as Deputy Police Chief Brenda Johnson, a police detective who transfers from Atlanta to Los Angeles to head up a special unit of the Los Angeles Police Department that handles sensitive, high-profile murder cases. Johnson�s quirky personality and hard-nosed approach often rubs her colleagues the wrong way, but her reputation as one of the world�s best interrogators eventually wins over even her toughest critics. Joining Sedgwick in the series are J.K. Simmons (Spider-Man, Law & Order, Oz) as Johnson�s boss, Assistant Police Chief Will Pope, and Robert Gossett (Arlington Road, The Net) as Captain Taylor, head of the robbery homicide division, as well as Jon Tenney (You Can Count on Me, Get Real), Corey Reynolds (The Terminal), Tony Denison (Chasing Papi) and G.W. Bailey (M*A*S*H). THE CLOSER comes to TNT from The Shephard/Robin Company in association with Warner Bros. Television. James Duff (The D.A., The Agency), Greer Shephard (Nip/Tuck, The D.A.) and Michael Robin (Nip/Tuck, The D.A., NYPD Blue) serve as executive producers.

In this gripping character-driven drama, Tom Everett Scott (That Thing You Do, Boiler Room) plays Wyatt Cole, a conflicted yet charismatic young man who grapples with his father�s expectations and his own self-destructive tendencies. The series follows him as he makes his way through the minefield that is his 24-hour shift and finds his only solace in the job�s breakneck pace. Elizabeth Reaser (The Family Stone, Stay) plays Alice, Wyatt�s former girlfriend who now works as a resident at the hospital, while Omari Hardwick (Sucker Free City) plays Sack, Wyatt�s fellow paramedic. Other cast members include Michael McMillian (What I Like About You) and Tracy Vilar (Full Frontal). SAVED comes to TNT from Fox 21 and Imagine Television, with David Manson (Nothing Sacred, Thief) and Imagine Television�s David Nevins (Arrested Development) serving as executive producers. The pilot episode was directed by Darnell Martin (Their Eyes Were Watching God).

Three-time Emmy nominee Matthew Perry (Friends, The West Wing) adds one of the country�s most inspiring teachers to his resume of notable performances when he stars in this special TNT Original movie, the network�s latest production under the JOHNSON & JOHNSON SPOTLIGHT PRESENTATION� banner. The movie, directed by Emmy� and two-time Directors Guild of America Award nominee Randa Haines (Children of a Lesser God, Something about Amelia) from a script by Max Enscoe and Annie DeYoung (Wuthering Heights), follows the inspiring tale of an energetic, creative and idealistic young teacher who leaves his small North Carolina hometown to teach in a New York City public school. Through his passionate use of special rules for his classroom, highly innovative teaching techniques and an undying devotion to his students and helping them cope with their problems, Clark is able to make a remarkable difference in the lives of his students. As a result of his achievements, Clark won Disney�s prestigious Teacher of the Year award and was featured in Oprah�s O magazine. He has also written several successful books on education and child rearing. INTO THE WEST Memorial Day Marathon � Monday, May 29, beginning at 6 a.m.
TNT�s all-star, Golden Globe�-nominated epic adventure about the settling of the American West returns with an all-day marathon to kick off the summer. This 12-hour production, from DreamWorks Television and executive producer Steven Spielberg, features a cast that includes Skeet Ulrich, Matthew Settle, Keri Russell, Alan Tudyk, Josh Brolin, Beau Bridges, George Leach, Screen Actors Guild Award� nominee Tonantzin Carmelo, Irene Bedard, Jessica Capshaw, Rachael Leigh Cook, Will Patton, Gary Busey, Zahn McClarnon, Michael Spears and Simon R. Baker, as well as many others. The story follows two multi-generational families, one settlers and the other Native American, each telling the dramatic stories of the development of the West from their distinct points of view. One family is the Wheeler clan, a Virginia family of wheelwrights making their trek westward. The other family is a plains Native American family hailing from the Lakota tribe. Throughout the series, the two families experience the historical events that led to an epic clash of cultures, often coming in contact with notable figures and events from the era.

Denzel Washington stars in this thriller about a smalltown Florida police chief who becomes a key suspect when foul play occurs. No matter what he does to clear himself, though, things only get worse. Eva Mendes plays his ex-wife, a police detective assigned to the case, while Sanaa Lathan plays a pitch-perfect femme fatale.

John Grisham�s best-selling novel comes to the screen, with Dustin Hoffman starring as a New Orleans lawyer whose client is suing a major gun manufacturer over the death of her husband. Gene Hackman co-stars as a jury consultant working for the gun manufacturer, while John Cusack plays a juror who may have an agenda of his own. This gripping legal thriller also stars Rachel Weisz and Bruce Davison.

Mel Gibson headlines M. Night Shyamalan�s gripping sci-fi thriller about a minister who has lost his way after the death of his wife, only to find his faith further challenged by an invasion of deadly aliens. Joaquin Phoenix and Cherry Jones co-star in this intriguing story that takes on several difficult issues.

Demi Moore stars in this world premiere movie about a best-selling novelist who, after the tragic drowning of her 5-year-old son, moves to a remote cottage on the Scottish coast. But her demons have followed her as loneliness and paranoia leave her not knowing what�s real and what�s imagination in the fight to save her life. Craig Rosenberg (Hotel de Love) wrote and directed this intellectual thriller.
