JEEP WORLD OF ADVENTURE SPORTS HD TAKES UNIVERSAL HD VIEWERS OFF THE BEATEN PATH

Universal HD Salutes Heroes On Memorial Day

BURBANK, Calif. -- April 26, 2006 �� Universal HD takes viewers off the beaten path with The 2006 Jeep World of Adventure Sports HD, which premieres on Friday, May 19th at 9:00pm and 12:00am (ET). The Jeep World of Adventure Sports HD is a new action-adventure sports series premiering on Universal HD, hosted by Pat Parnell. Shot in native 1080i HD, the show features an array of adrenaline-inspired feats and adventurous sporting events from around the world. Anchor events will be complemented by behind-the-scenes features on athletes, expeditions and the world of action-adventure sports. New episodes will continue to premiere every month through December.

Take a plunge into the mysteries of the deep when Universal HD premieres the Sci Fi drama Surface on Sunday, May 14th at 7:00pm (ET). The regular schedule will see the show airing Monday through Wednesdays at 9:00pm and 12:00am (ET) beginning May 15th with encores airing Fridays at 9:00pm and Saturdays at 7:00pm (ET) beginning May 26th.

"Being able to give high definition viewers this sort of variety is what we strive to do at Universal HD," says Dan Harrison, Senior Vice President Emerging Networks. "From 'The Jeep World of Adventure Sports' to the current Sci Fi hit 'Surface' to our Prime Films, we will continue to offer our viewers the best in high definition sports and entertainment."

Universal HD salutes our heroes on Memorial Day, starting with Gray Lady Down at 4:00pm and 1:30am and Backdraft at 10:00pm (ET) on Monday, May 29th. Gray Lady Down follows the Navy rescue of the USS Neptune, a nuclear submarine sunk off the coast of Connecticut after a collision with a Norwegian cargo ship, and stars Charlton Heston, David Carradine, Stacy Keach and Ned Beatty. In Backdraft, a rookie firefighter tries to earn the respect of his older borther and colleagues while taking part in an investigation of a string of arson/murders. The film stars Kurt Russell, William Baldwin, Robert de Niro and Donald Sutherland.

Catch the second season finale of Battlestar Galactica, commercial free, on Universal HD. We will air both parts one and two of the season finale on Sunday, May 7th at 8:00pm and 10:00pm (ET). Experience the chilling cliffhanger of this critically acclaimed series, as it's never been seen before in High Definition.
