AMERICAN INVENTOR -- �BEST OF AUDITIONS� PT. 2 -- THURSDAY, APRIL 27 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) � This is part two of the best of the auditions with some never-before-seen inventions. Viewers will see some of the wacky and innovative inventions that stood out at the start of the series.
AMERICAN INVENTOR -- �EPISODE 107� -- THURSDAY, APRIL 27 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET) � This week on �American Inventor� we will focus on three semifinalists to see how they use the $50,000 they�ve been given to finalize their invention. Mary Lou Quinlan, one of our expert judges, will mentor three inventors and guide them through the process of working with product designers, packaging companies, marketing executives and product testing. In an ultimate challenge, the inventors will have their new and improved product tested to see if it delivers, and Mary Lou will face the difficult decision of choosing one of her three to move on to the final round, one step closer to winning one million dollars and becoming the next great �American Inventor.�
COMMANDER IN CHIEF -- �TIES THAT BIND� -- THURSDAY, APRIL 27 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) � Mac calls on her new Attorney General to look into the growing urban unrest in nearby Prince George�s County, Maryland, which she learns is where Chief of Staff Jim Gardner is from. At the same time, a friend from Gardner�s past unexpectedly visits him at the White House and gives him a first-hand account of the situation, one that hits closer to home. Meanwhile, Mac is briefed on the situation of the missing surface-to-air missiles that went down in a military plane crash over Pakistan and have now surfaced on the black market, and she must use all means necessary to ensure the weapons don�t fall into the hands of terrorists. On the Hill, Templeton is championing the Templeton Act targeting domestic crime, which Mac threatens to veto, opting for more law enforcement and education over the bill�s calls for tougher sentencing. And when Dickie learns of Vince�s plans for a commitment ceremony with his partner, he urges him not to invite Mac, lest it hurt her in the polls.

EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION -- �PY FAMILY, PARTS 1 & 2� -- SUNDAY, APRIL 30 (7:00-8:00 & 8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) � Having raised four girls of their own and put each through college, 60-year-old �Grandpop� William Py and his 57-year-old wife, �Grandma� Carole, were looking forward to retirement. But life had something else in store for them. In l997 Grandpop and Grandma, a couple who enjoyed spoiling their grandkids but who also liked the idea that they could send the children home to their own parents after fun visits, would have their lives shattered by the first of two tragedies that would befall this closely-knit family. In July of that year, their son-in-law, Jos� Rosario, 33, died unexpectedly of a brain aneurysm. Jos� left behind his wife, Sharon Py Rosario, a breast cancer survivor, and three young children, William, Samantha and Jos�, or �Joey.� The design team will help this loving family have the safe and beautiful home they so richly deserve. WIFE SWAP -- �RIDGELY/CORRAO� -- MONDAY, MAY 1 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) � Jen Ridgely (36) and her husband, Randy (38), a professional bull rider and steer wrestler, keep tight reins on their children, Peyton (7) and Rylee (3), who were born into a rough-edged lifestyle and do chores around the ranch when not in school, practicing their cowhand skills or attending the rodeo. No whining�s allowed in this Delaware family, where rugged independence, hard work, competitiveness and frugality take precedence over romance and leisure time. Traveling to the suburban Ohio home of hair stylist Kim Corrao (42) and her husband, Louis (41), �Cowgirl Jen� encounters a family bred on �la dolce vita� (the sweet life). The Corrao children, Sofia (8) and Vittorio (6), feel free to do just about anything around the house, set their own bedtimes and even write on the walls. They think their party-girl mom shops too much and wears too much makeup. Husband Louis relishes the good life and the passion in his marriage, and believes his children should have fun, not chores.
SUPERNANNY -- �NEWTON FAMILY� -- SEASON FINALE -- MONDAY, MAY 1 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) � Vicki and Aaron Newton are separated, with joint custody of their two sons, Aaron (12) and Kobe (5). Though the boys are angels for Dad, young Kobe saves his worst behavior for Mom. He is violent and destructive -- hitting, kicking, slapping, punching and swearing. He even throws rocks at Jo�s head. Aaron isn�t physically aggressive, but he does talk back to his mother. For the first time, Jo Frost observes life in two homes to hone her recommendations for each parent. But can she get them to collaborate on their child-rearing techniques?
WHAT ABOUT BRIAN -- �THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING BRIAN� -- MONDAY, MAY 1 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) � It�s Saturday and everyone wants something from Brian, but no one can find him. Brian has decided that he would rather spend the day with his new love, Lisa B (Bre Blair). Meanwhile Nicole, hopped up on her fertility hormone treatments, needs her brother to help her and Angelo with a car problem; Deena and Dave expect Brian to play �Barney� at their daughter�s birthday party; Adam, stuck planning the wedding, wants him for some guy time; and Marjorie keeps leaving messages on Brian�s phone to talk about their relationship.
ACCORDING TO JIM -- �BELABORING THE POINT� -- SEASON FINALE -- TUESDAY, MAY 2 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET) � When an ecstatic Ryan (Mitch Rouse) announces that Dana is pregnant, Jim advises him on how to avoid the pitfalls of Dana�s upcoming fluctuating hormones. Then Jim dreams that he is pregnant.
HOPE & FAITH � �FAITH KNOWS SQUAT� � TUESDAY, MAY 2 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET) � After a loud, late-night dancing session by Faith and �The Gooch� (Mark Consuelos) pushes Hope and Charley over the edge, they suggest that the couple find their own home. Unfortunately Charley and Hope learn that, due to a local real estate technicality, Faith is the legal owner of her garage apartment � unless she has paid them rent. So Charley tries to squeeze a single rent check out of her, but the truth comes out and Faith declares an all-out war on Hope and Charley to keep her place � as they all engage in an outrageous battle of one-upsmanship.
HOPE & FAITH -- �HOPE�S FLOAT� -- SEASON FINALE -- TUESDAY, MAY 2 (9:00-9:30 p.m., ET) � Hope reminisces with her family about the first fight she and Charley had during their courtship back in 1985 when they were both in college. Flashbacks to that fateful night reveal that it was also the first time Charley and Faith met. The fireworks begin when Hope cancels her date with Charley to go to a Huey Lewis concert, choosing instead to stay and console Faith, who is distraught after not being cast as the lead in her high school play. Both Charley and Hope think they missed the concert, but as the story is re-told, Hope uncovers some outrageous secrets that Charley and Faith have kept under wraps all these years � not to mention one last surprise that�s revealed about Hope.
LESS THAN PERFECT -- �A CRUSH GROWS IN BROOKLYN� -- TUESDAY, MAY 2 (9:30-10:00 p.m., ET) � After a long week, Claude, Carl, Ramona and Owen enjoy a night out for happy hour at their favorite bar. A little tipsy, Claude and Carl head home and, when one thing leads to another, they end up in bed together. They decide to keep it a secret from everyone at work to protect their friendship, but their attraction to each other makes it difficult. Meanwhile, Jeb incites a power struggle between Lydia and Kipp to keep them both distracted and out of his hair.

ABC SATURDAY MOVIE OF THE WEEK -- �SEABISCUIT� -- SATURDAY, MAY 6 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET) � Based on a true story, this is the rags-to-riches tale of three men � Johnny �Red� Pollard (Tobey Maguire), a half-blind ex-prizefighter, Tom Smith (Chris Cooper), a horse breaker, and Charlie Howard, a millionaire who lost everything -- and Howard�s down-and-out racehorse named Seabiscuit. After teaming up, these three men rediscover hope through Seabiscuit, who takes them -- and the nation -- on the ride of a lifetime, along the way accomplishing great feats that ultimately led to Horse-of-the-Year honors in 1938. This broadcast will air in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC�s selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound and video description via SAP.
AMERICA�S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS -- �1622� -- SUNDAY, MAY 7 (7:00-8:00 p.m., ET) -- Awards the final $100,000 prize of the season, with one lucky viewer at home who voted online also winning a Disney 7-Day, 6-Night Land and Sea Vacation for four. Among the finalists: �Purr-fect Pet� -- A cute kitty who does the strangest thing when her owner pets her; �The Cupcake Kid� -- a little boy who just can�t share a cupcake with his grandpa; �Merry Fishmas� -- A not-so-merry X-mas when someone�s holiday gift, fish, go belly up; �Jingle Bell Babe� -- A little girl who just can�t stand the snow, but it doesn�t stop her from singing.
EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION -- �PETER FAMILY� -- SUNDAY, MAY 7 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) � Winston and Hardai Peter left their homeland of Guyana in 1996 and struggled long and hard to make a new home for their family in America. They were on their way to achieving the American dream when tragedy struck. In December of 2004, their tri-level colonial house burst into flames, depriving them not only of their home but all their possessions. Penniless and without other recourse, the Peters were forced to move back into their burned out house. They�ve since been living in a home without heat or hot water, and with very little electricity. They have to boil water whenever they need to bathe and have to cook on a makeshift propane stove. To make the house seem livable, Winston and his boys use whatever money they get to cover broken windows with plastic and wood, and hang sheet rock and drywall to cover up any holes from the fire damage. Winston feels as though he�s let his family down, as he cannot provide them with a proper home. But as a priest, he doesn�t make enough money to repair or replace his house. The design team heads to Queens to help this family rise above ashes so they may live out their American dream in their new American dream home! In addition, some special guest stars drop by and lend a helping hand: Michael Moloney drops by the set of �All My Children� to enlist the aid of star Susan Lucci in decorating a secret room for one of the family members. And romance expert/model Fabio offers his expertise to the EM Home designers on matters of the home and heart, while some NYC firefighters run �fireproofing� tests on the house and give Tanya McQueen a tour of Ground Zero.
DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES -- �I KNOW THINGS NOW� -- SUNDAY, M AY 7 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) � Tom gets fired, Bree and Andrew reach an impasse, and Edie�s private detective gets the goods on Karl and Susan.
GREY�S ANATOMY -- �DAMAGE CASE� -- SUNDAY, MAY 7 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) -- The interns deal with a family involved in a car accident, Derek lets his emotions get the best of him, and Burke and Izzie make a new suggestion to Denny. Chris O�Donnell guest stars
DAVID BLAINE: DROWNED ALIVE -- MONDAY, MAY 8 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET) -- David Blaine, known for his headline-making feats of physical, emotional and mental endurance, will once again put his life on the line in a death-defying attempt to hold his breath underwater longer than any human being, which is currently a stunning eight minutes, 58 seconds. He will undertake this latest challenge after living with a life support system in a specially built human aquarium -- an eight-foot acrylic sphere -- for seven days and nights, in full public view in front of New York�s Lincoln Center. Viewers will hold their collective breath during the heart-stopping finale of the broadcast when Blaine will put himself to the ultimate test � live. Additionally, viewers will be treated to amazing new jaw-dropping illusions, as Blaine performs his distinctive style of up-close-and-personal street magic in a variety of venues from a casino in Las Vegas to Angola State Prison in Angola, Louisiana, to a New York art gallery. The two-hour special is Blaine�s spell-binding journey of mind, body and soul in preparation for his literally breathtaking feat. He even trained with the U.S. Navy Seals, who put him through what Blaine described as �the most grueling physical training of [his] life.� On the way to holding his breath underwater for the longest period of time ever, he would surpass the great Houdini, who managed a then-astonishing three-minute breath-hold. WHAT ABOUT BRIAN -- �SEX, LIES AND VIDEOTAPE� -- SEASON FINALE -- MONDAY, MAY 8 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) � Brian�s apparent interest in his new girlfriend causes Marjorie to unwittingly sabotage the relationship. Dave, who is convinced that Deena is having an affair, turns what was supposed to be a simple golf outing with the guys into a complicated stakeout to catch his wife in the act. Meanwhile, Nicole has told Deena that spouses shouldn�t keep secrets from each other, but she�s hiding from Angelo that she�s taking fertility hormone injections.
ABC PREMIERE EVENT -- FATAL CONTACT: BIRD FLU IN AMERICA -- TUESDAY, MAY 9 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET) � There are times that test humanity and challenge the soul of a community or a nation. News images and headlines tell stories of rising waters, quaking ground and tragic acts by man himself. But the real story, the human story, is found in the lives changed forever, in the strength of the survivors, and the resilient hope that gives them the courage to recover. ABC will bring such a story to television in a two-hour original movie. �Fatal Contact: Bird Flu in America� follows an outbreak of an Avian Flu from its origins in a Hong Kong market through its mutation into a virus transmittable from human to human around the world. The meticulously researched film stars Joely Richardson (�Nip/Tuck�), Stacy Keach (�Prison Break,� �Blackbeard�), Ann Cusack (�Grey�s Anatomy,� �Ghost Whisperer�), Justina Machado (�Six Feet Under�), Scott Cohen (�Street Time,� �Law & Order: Trial by Jury�) and David Ramsey (�All of Us�). John M. Barry, Distinguished Visiting Scholar at Tulane University and writer of the New York Times bestseller, �The Great Influenza: The Story of the Deadliest Pandemic in History,� served as a consultant on the project. Barry�s book, which includes a new afterword on today�s Avian Flu, focuses on the 1918 Spanish Flu which killed between 50-100 million people.
