LOS ANGELES, July 13, 2006 -- Remember when Cartman got his first period or the time he joined NAMBLA? Or when Mr. Garrison got his fancy new vagina? How about more recently when the boys of South Park revealed the mysteries of Scientology? Has it really been ten years since those foul-mouthed, irreverent fourth-graders first entered our lives? It has and COMEDY CENTRAL is cranking up the celebration of "South Park's" tenth season with all new-episodes beginning Wednesday, October 4 at 10:00 p.m. Coinciding with the tenth season, fans of the show can enjoy more "South Park" than ever before with a new collector's DVD, travel sweepstakes and new extensions of the programming and characters on mobile and broadband platforms.

"At COMEDY CENTRAL, we could not be more proud of the incredible success that 'South Park' has earned over the past ten years," said Doug Herzog, president of COMEDY CENTRAL. "The show continues to evolve while remaining in the cultural zeitgeist with its topical satire."

Travel Sweepstakes

In celebration of the tenth season of South Park, COMEDY CENTRAL is flying ten lucky fans to one of Cartman, Stan, Kyle and Kenny's favorite global destinations for ten days. Winners can select from one of ten memorable destinations including: Hong Kong, Costa Rica, Italy, Scotland, Colorado, New York, Washington D.C., California, Las Vegas and Canada. And, to top it all off, the winners will receive a total of $10,000 in cash. To enter, fans can visit comedycentral.com.

Collector's DVD

COMEDY CENTRAL will release "South Park The Hits: Volume 1" on Tuesday, October 3. The DVD features ten episodes chosen by Stone and Parker as their "top ten" to date. The DVD also features four bonus episodes and audio commentary by Stone and Parker.

Mobile

This fall, a new wireless game featuring the "South Park" characters will be available on mobile phones, as well as new ringtones, ringbacks and wallpaper. Fans also can download excerpts of scenes from their favorite episodes.

MotherLoad

A new, dedicated "South Park" channel will launch on COMEDY CENTRAL's MotherLoad, the broadband service located at www.comedycentral.com/motherload. The "South Park" channel will feature highlights from every single "South Park" episode, plus special themed collections. In addition, a series of ten new "South Park" themed online games will begin rolling out on www.comedycentral.com/games and www.southparkstudios.com.

Licensed merchandise

Also timed to coincide with "South Park's" tenth season, COMEDY CENTRAL will introduce all new licensed merchandise and apparel. New collectible figures from Mezco will include the following characters: Kyle, Stan, Mr. Garrison, Mr. Hanky, Tooth Fairy, Cartman and Token. In addition, all new Halloween costumes and holiday ornaments will be offered later this year. Fans of the series will also find collectible plush toys from Toy Island.

In its latest season, "South Park" was the most-watched and highest-rated cable show in its timeslot among P18-49, total viewers and all key male demos including M18-24, M18-34, M25-34, M35-49 and M18-49. Furthermore, the series was the number one Men 18-24 program during its seven-week-stint in all television.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone are co-creators and executive producers of the Emmy and Peabody award-winning "South Park" with Anne Garefino as executive producer.

Launched in 1997, "South Park," now in its tenth season, remains the highest-rated series on COMEDY CENTRAL. "South Park" repeats Wednesdays at 12:30 a.m., Thursdays at 10:00 p.m. and 12:30 a.m., Fridays at 12:00 a.m., Saturdays at 3:00 a.m. and Sundays at 11:30 p.m.
