SYNOPSIS

A dogged oceanographer, a grieving fisherman and a curious teenager become entangled with a mysterious creature from the ocean's bottom in Surface: The Complete Series. From the South Antarctic Sea to the Cape of Good Hope, the discovery of this new aquatic life form is at the heart of a mystery that intrigues and baffles scientists and world leaders. When young marine biologist Laura Daughtery (Lake Bell) encounters the massive underwater creature, she becomes fixated on identifying the beast and its origins. As the creature reveals itself, she begins to wonder whether this unknown species will be a boon to mankind or lead to its ultimate destruction.
