FROM LAW & ORDER CREATOR DICK WOLF COMES A PROVOCATIVE, SEXY LOOK AT LIFE AND LOVE IN THE MANHATTAN D.A.'S OFFICE

CONVICTION: THE COMPLETE SERIES

All 13 Arresting Episodes Plus Special Behind-the-Scenes Profiles Coming August 22, 2006 from Universal Studios Home Entertainment

Universal City, Calif. -- July 19, 2006 -- Five passionate young Assistant District Attorneys do battle in one of the toughest legal arenas imaginable when Conviction: The Complete Series comes to DVD on August 22, 2006 from Universal Studios Home Entertainment. Created by Dick Wolf, producer of the award winning "Law & Order" franchise, Conviction follows a handful of determined, ambitious co-workers through the pressure cooker environment of the Manhattan District Attorney's Office as they attempt to balance the responsibilities of the job with the demands of their friends and families. Engrossing, sexy and wildly entertaining, the riveting crime drama delves deep into the characters' back-stories and personal lives to create a compellingly rich portrait of colleagues sharing a unique bond. All 13 gripping episodes of Conviction: The Complete Series are available in this collectible three-disc set, which also includes seven fascinating profiles of characters from the show that In Touch magazine called "the year's hippest and hottest new show!"

Conviction: The Complete Series stars Stephanie March who reprises her acclaimed "Law & Order: SVU" role as hard-nosed Assistant District Attorney Alexandra Cabot. This time Cabot oversees a group of hot-blooded, intensely ambitious young attorneys whose ardor for the law sometimes spills over into their private lives, causing professional relationships to cross dangerously personal lines. The outstanding ensemble cast includes Eric Balfour, J. August Richards, Anson Mount, Jordan Bridges, Milena Govich, and Julianne Nicholson. The three DVD set is priced at $59.98 SRP. Preorder close is July 18, 2006.

SYNOPSIS

The latest provocative entry from "Law & Order" creator and producer Dick Wolf, Conviction: The Complete Series goes behind closed doors in the cutthroat world of the Manhattan District Attorney's office. Sexy storylines intertwine with tangled legal tales to create what Wolf calls a "charactercedural," following the personal and professional lives of five rookie prosecutors as they push themselves to their limits. Bureau chief Alex Cabot (Stephanie March) presides over a hothouse atmosphere where colleagues compete for cases, credit and convictions. Conviction: The Complete Series also stars Eric Balfour, J. August Richards, Anson Mount, Jordan Bridges, Julianne Nicholson and Milena Govich in the show People magazine calls "'Law & Order,' by way of 'Grey's Anatomy.'"
