[via press release from ABC]

PRODUCTION BEGINS ON BIG DAY, PREMIERING THURSDAY, OCTOBER 5 ON THE ABC TELEVISION NETWORK

Production has begun in Los Angeles on Big Day, a frantically funny take on the biggest day in any familys life the wedding day -- premiering THURSDAY, OCTOBER 5 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Beautiful young and privileged, Alice just wants what every bride-to-be wants the perfect wedding day. But reality and relatives threaten to ruin everything, as the brain surgeon dad questions her choice of grooms a charming, but goofy camp counselor named Danny; the bitter bridesmaid older sister sleeps with the best man and accidentally drinks his contact lenses, leaving him blind for the ceremony; the groomsman is secretly in love with the groom; and the tightly wound mother of the bride intimidates the neurotically nervous wedding planner.

Big Day stars Marla Sololoff as Alice, Josh Cooke as Danny, Wendie Malick as Alice, Kurt Fuller as Steve, Miriam Shor as Becca, Stephen Rannazzisi as Skobo and Stephnie Weir as Lorna

Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa (What Women Want, 13 Going on 30) are creators and executive producers, and Matthew Carlson (Malcolm in the Middle, The Wonder Years) serves as executive producer.

Big Day is a production of Sony Pictures Television.
