AMC Appoints Vlad Wolynetz to Vice President, Production, Series and Movies

New York, NY, July 26, 2006 - AMC announced today that Vlad Wolynetz has been named Vice President of Production, Series and Movies for the network, where he will be instrumental in the development and production of the network's growing original programming slate. Wolynetz will report to Rob Sorcher, Executive Vice President of Programming, Packaging and Production for AMC.

"Vlad has a long-standing successful track record with AMC 's programming department and I believe he has truly found his calling within our new mission of scripted series and movies," stated Sorcher. "His supervision of the production of our first-ever original movie Broken Trail resulted in record-breaking ratings for AMC. As we continue to expand our original programming line-up, I am really looking forward to seeing Vlad conquer his new role within the organization."

Since joining AMC's Development department, Wolynetz has supervised a wide range of the network's series in multiple formats. In his prior role at AMC as Director of Original Programming and Development, Wolynetz oversaw the production of AMC's first original movie, Broken Trail, which delivered all time record ratings for the network. The epic western-themed movie scored a record-breaking 7.63 HH rating and ranked as the #1 cable telecast in 2006 to-date based on HH delivery (6.7 million) and total viewers (9.8 million). In addition, Wolynetz managed the AMC/BBC co-production of Hustle, AMC's first original scripted series, starring Robert Vaughn and Adrian Lester that is currently shooting its fourth season. Most recently he oversaw the production of AMC's first drama pilot, Mad Men, furthering the network's commitment to original programming.

Before joining AMC, Wolynetz served in various development and production roles at Viacom Entertainment; MCA/Universal; Nickelodeon and Showtime. He has also worked on the feature films including Joe's Apartment (Warner Bros/MTV Feature), Smoke (Miramax) and Blue in the Face (Miramax).

AMC's commitment to the original programming genre has garnered substantial ratings growth for the network. The record breaking premiere of AMC's first original movie-event, Broken Trail ranked as the #1 cable telecast of 2006 to-date, and helped establish June 2006 as the network's strongest monthly performance ever in primetime household rating and delivery. Additionally, AMC ranked among the top ten networks in primetime performance of key demos for the month, propelling the network to its strongest 2nd quarter performance ever in primetime household ratings and delivery.
