We are proud to honor those who are putting their lives on the line to protect American freedom around the world through A SALUTE TO THE TROOPS AND USO, said Michael Wright, senior vice president of original programming for TBS and sister network TNT. This tribute to our troops is going to be a night to remember, with a special tribute to legendary comedian Bob Hope. And with Thanksgiving coming just a few days later, its a perfect opportunity for us to say thanks to the troops and the USO for everything they do.

The USO is a private, nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide morale, welfare and recreation services to this countrys men and women in uniform. The original intent of Congress and enduring style of USO delivery is to represent the American people by extending a touch of home to the military.
