ABC Foils 'Knights' Robbery

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- ABC has sent its struggling comedy "The Knights of Prosperity" to the bench effective immediately.
Repeats of "According to Jim" and "The George Lopez Show" will fill the Wednesday, 8:30/7:30c slot for the next three weeks until "The Great American Dream Vote" takes over the entire 8:00/7:00c hour on March 28.
It's understood in addition to its low ratings (4.94 million viewers on average to date), ABC opted to pull the show at a "natural spot" as a new Ray Romano-focused arc was set to begin this week. The four remaining installments then will be used to relaunch the series should it return at a later date.
Rob Burnett, Jon Beckerman, David Letterman, Mick Jagger and Victoria Pearman are the executive producers.
