UNIVERSAL HD SPRINGS FORWARD WITH MORE MOVIES, SERIES AND SPORTS
New Movie Marathons Every Weekday
BURBANK, Calif. � April 4, 2007 � This April, Universal HD is bringing viewers more movies, back-to-back series and more sports, all in 1080i High Definition. Viewers will be treated to HD premieres and marathons of their favorite films and series all month long.
"Every month, we add more HD films, series and sporting events to our schedule," said Dan Harrison, Senior Vice President Emerging Networks, NBC Universal Cable. "Our audience members have front row seats to the best in HD content."
It's the 71st Masters Tournament, live from Augusta National Golf Club, on April 5th and 6th at 4pm (ET). The tournament will be broadcast in native 1080i HD with 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound so viewers can feel like they're on the course watching every minute.

Beginning April 16th, Universal HD is airing movie marathons every weekday from 9am to 3pm. New series blocks include Stargate Atlantis and Surface back-to-back every Thursday night, The Equalizer and Conviction back-to-back every Friday night, Saturday and Sunday morning stacks of Northern Exposure and Sunday late-night stacks of The Equalizer.
NBC Sports' Heads Up Poker comes to Universal HD every Wednesday at 10pm and 1am (ET) with encores on Saturdays at 1pm (ET).
Viewers can laugh with all of April's Fools on Sundays at 8pm and 11pm (ET). Universal HD features star-studded comedies all month long. On April 8th, Tom Arnold leads McHale's Navy at 8pm (ET) followed by Isn't She Great starring Bette Midler at 11pm (ET). Tim Allen and Kirstie Alley vow For Richer or Poorer on April 15th at 8pm (ET) then you can Leave It to Beaver at 11pm (ET). It's a Dan Aykroyd double feature on April 22nd as he teams with Bill Murray and Harold Ramis in Ghostbusters 2 at 8pm (ET) and with John Belushi in 1941 at 11pm (ET). Finally, April ends with two more Universal HD premieres on the 29th: Matthew McConnaghey in EdTV at 8pm (ET) and Ben Stiller and Winona Ryder in Reality Bites at 11pm (ET).
Universal HD is hitting the ice to bring viewers the NHL Game of The Week on Sunday at 1am and Monday at 1pm (ET). The April game is schedule for April 8th with an encore on April 9th.
Viewers can sample the chills and thrills of NBC Universal's new horror network CHILLER when Night of the Living Dead premieres on Universal HD on Wednesday April 11th at 8pm and 11pm (ET).
Audiences can spend the night with a special double feature of independent films when Universal HD goes indie on Monday, April 30th at 8pm and 10pm (ET). Features include Cold Comfort Farm on Monday April 30th at 8pm (ET) followed by Finding Graceland at 10pm (ET).
