BRAVO PARTNERS WITH NYC & COMPANY AND GREATER MIAMI CONVENTION & VISITORS BUREAU TO DISH OUT FLAVORFUL "TOP CHEF 3 MIAMI" LAUNCH EVENTS IN NEW YORK CITY ON JUNE 12 AND MIAMI BEACH ON JUNE 10

Foodies Rejoice as New York City and Miami Beach Present Official "Top Chef" Day Proclamations

NEW YORK June 7, 2007 - To cook-up some "heat" around the supersized premiere of "Top Chef 3 Miami" (Wednesday, June 13 at 10:00 11:15 p.m. ET/PT), Bravo has partnered with NYC & Company to kick off NYC Restaurant Week - now in its 16th year - featuring a live cook-off event on Tuesday, June 12, between Season 2 native New Yorkers, winner Ilan Hall and Fan Favorite Sam Talbot, with series host Padma Lakshmi as emcee and chef Tom Colicchio as lead judge. Bravo also has joined forces with the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau for "'Top Chef' Presents a Taste of Miami Spice" on Sunday, June 10, in Miami Beach - home base to the series' third season - a free preview of Miami's finest restaurants. Both New York City and Miami Beach will present official "Top Chef" Day proclamations to take effect on June 13.

"I can't think of a better way to celebrate the best restaurants in both New York City and Miami Beach than with the best of our Top Chefs," said Jason Klarman, EVP Marketing & Digital, Bravo.

NEW YORK CITY LAUNCH EVENT TUESDAY, JUNE 12:

Bravo and NYC & Company, the marketing and tourism organization for the City of New York, bring "NYC Restaurant Week: A Taste of 'Top Chef'" to Union Square Park on Tuesday, June 12 from noon 1:30 p.m. ET. The live event celebrates both the launch of the hit culinary competition series and the start of the reservation period for NYC Restaurant Week (beginning June 18), the semiannual celebration of the city's vibrant dining scene from July 16-20 and July 23-27. Highlighted by an outdoor cook-off between the reigning Season 2 native New Yorkers, winner Hall and Fan Favorite Talbot, the event features a 30-minute quickfire challenge staged on the set of an actual kitchen. Emceed by Lakshmi, the judging panel consists of some of New York City's hottest chefs and restaurateurs, including Colicchio; Tracy Nieporent, partner of the Myriad Restaurant Group; David Burke, restaurateur and chef; Floyd Cardoz, Executive Chef of Tabla. A representative of New York City will present Bravo President Zalaznick, Lakshmi and Colicchio with an official "Top Chef" proclamation to take effect on June 13.

MIAMI BEACH LAUNCH EVENT SUNDAY, JUNE 10:

Bravo teams up with the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau on Sunday, June 10 from noon to 3:00 p.m. ET for "'Top Chef' Presents a Taste of Miami Spice," and turns Lincoln Road in Miami Beach - home base to the series' third season - into a free preview of August's Miami Spice Restaurant Month. Miami's finest restaurants, including 510 Ocean, david bouley evolution, Mark's South Beach, O Asian Grill, Ola Restaurant at Sanctuary Hotel, SUSHISAMBA dromo, Table 8, and Wish Restaurant, will line the famed Miami Beach thoroughfare with tasting booths offering samples of their wares. Miami Beach Vice Mayor Michael Gongora and Commissioner Richard Steinberg will present series host Lakshmi with a proclamation declaring June 13th "Top Chef Day" in Miami Beach.

The promotions in both Miami Beach and New York City will be produced by Grand Central Marketing, an event marketing agency based in New York.

Bravo's "Top Chef 3 Miami" features the return of Lakshmi to the judges table this third season, joined by Colicchio; returning judge Gail Simmons of Food & Wine; and "Queer Eye's" culinary expert Ted Allen.

"Top Chef 3 Miami" offers a fascinating window into the competitive, pressure-filled environment of world-class cookery and the restaurant business at the highest level. A delight for all the senses, each episode holds two challenges for the chefs. The first is a quickfire test of their basic abilities, and the second is a more involved elimination challenge designed to test the chef's versatility and invention, as they take on unique culinary trials, such as working with unusual and exotic foods or catering for a range of demanding clients. The challenges not only test their skills in the kitchen, but also uncover if they have the customer service, management and teamwork abilities required of a "Top Chef." The heat is on in Miami as the competing chefs live and breathe the high-pressure lifestyle that comes with being a master chef, and each week someone is asked to "pack up their knives" and go home. In addition, each week will feature a special guest judge, some of the most respected figures in the culinary industry.
