CELEBRATE THE EARTH THIS JULY WITH UNIVERSAL HD

Rock All Month Long with Universal HD's Live Earth Concert and Extreme Sporting Events

BURBANK, Calif. � July 2, 2007 � Green is in this July with a week of eco-friendly films and series leading up to Universal HD's "Live Earth HD 7-7-07: ALL ACCESS." Hit the fairways with some of your favorite celebrities in the "USGA American Century Championship" before a round of extreme sports in the "2007 AST Dew Tour," live and in 1080i High Definition.

"Live Earth" is a 22-hour live broadcast, airing Saturday July 7, 4am-2am (ET). More than 100 music artists will perform around the globe on Saturday July 7 and Universal HD is the only place to see the complete event in 1080i High Definition. "Live Earth" will gather the biggest names in music � Madonna, The Police, Bon Jovi, Akon, Faith Hill & Tim McGraw, John Mayer, Kelly Clarkson, Melissa Etheridge, Fall Out Boy, Kanye West, The Red Hot Chili Peppers and many more�to focus the world's attention on the global climate crisis and what can be done to reduce global warming.

"It's incredible that we have such amazing performers sending out this important message."

Leading up to the "Live Earth" concerts will be a full "Green Week" of eco-friendly programming from Monday July 2 � Saturday July 7, including the premiere of Sundance Channel's "Big Ideas for a Small Planet" on Universal HD, which presents thought-provoking solutions to social problems. For the first time in High Definition, watch episodes of this acclaimed documentary series each night at 7pm and 10pm (ET) beginning Tuesday July 3 and a marathon leading up to the concert on Friday July 7. Don't miss the opening act for "Live Earth" on Friday July 6: "Madonna: The Confessions Tour" gets the party started at 10pm and 2am (ET).

"Firefly" returns to Universal HD on Saturday July 28 with a two-hour premiere at 8pm and 11pm (ET). The show's amazing fan base is invited to a special UniversalHD.com web chat that night during both airings of the pilot. It will be a Saturday night party aboard the Serenity.

Travel light years from outer space to the golf course when the "USGA American Century Championship" airs Saturday July 14 & Sunday July 15, 8pm (ET). Michael Jordan, Ray Romano, Donald Trump are among the many celebrities and athletes bringing their golf clubs to Universal HD.

After all the action on Earth, join the crew of "Battlestar Galactica" on Saturday July 7 at 2am (ET) and Sunday July 8 at 3pm (ET) for a special three hour presentation that chronicles their adventures from the start: the HD special "Battlestar Galactica: From the Beginning" followed by parts 1 and 2 of the "Battlestar Galactica" miniseries that launched the award-winning sci-fi series.

Gather the family for a week of laughs and excitement as part of Universal HD's "Family Summer Vacation" from Monday July 23 � Friday July 27. The week begins with an encore of "The Right Guard Open" on Monday July 23 at 7pm and 11pm (ET). Dance along with Mad About Mambo at 9pm (ET). Come back on Tuesday for funnymen Matt LeBlanc in Ed at 9pm (ET) and Chevy Chase in Cops and Robbersons at 10:30pm (ET), with an encore of Chevy on Wednesday at 9pm (ET). Elijah Wood dives in with Flipper at 10:30pm (ET), which returns on Thursday at 9pm (ET).
