More Than Fifty Markets Participated In Promotion With Partners Including Brighthouse, Cablevision, Charter, Comcast, Cox, Insight, OnMedia, Time Warner and Viamedia

NEW YORK, Aug. 16 -- To celebrate the Sunday, August 26 10PM (ET/PT) season finale of "Army Wives," the network's most successful series ever, Lifetime Television is holding a gala cast party in Los Angeles on August 25 -- which will be attended by five real-life army wives -- to recognize participants in its affiliate promotion "Lifetime's Five Star Army Wives Experience," which ran in more than 50 markets nationwide.

The event features attendees from Lifetime's "Army Wives" promotion and includes an all-expenses paid, VIP trip for two to Los Angeles. The finale celebration, held at the Pacific Design Center, will also be attended by cast members and advertising executives representing Lifetime's top affiliates, including Brighthouse, Cablevision, Charter, Comcast, Cox, Insight, OnMedia, Time Warner and Viamedia, as well as Tanya Biank, the author of the book that the series is based on, Under the Sabers: The Unwritten Code of Army Wives.

Among the "real" army wives who will be present at the Lifetime screening and private reception with the series' cast and crew is Stacey Catalina-Hardy, who lives on Ft. Eustis in Virginia with her three children and whose husband returned home from Iraq this past Tuesday, August 14.

"All of us at Lifetime could not be happier about the amazing success of 'Army Wives' and it's a pleasure to be able to invite some of the series' biggest fans to Los Angeles to celebrate the smash hit with the cast and crew," said Susanne Daniels, President, Entertainment, Lifetime Networks. "It's truly wonderful that several 'real' army wives won the contest and can join us in celebrating the season finale!"

Filmed on location in Charleston, South Carolina, "Army Wives" stars Emmy(R) Award winner Kim Delaney ("NYPD Blue"), Sally Pressman ("Shark"), Brigid Brannagh ("Over There"), Brian McNamara ("The O.C."), Sterling K. Brown ("Starved"), Wendy Davis ("Commander in Chief"), Drew Fuller ("Charmed") and Catherine Bell ("JAG"). Mark Gordon ("Grey's Anatomy," "Criminal Minds") and The Mark Gordon Company's President of Production, Deborah Spera ("Criminal Minds"), serve as executive producers. Jeff Melvoin ("Alias") serves as executive producer and show runner. Katherine Fugate ("The Prince & Me") created the series and also serves as executive producer and writer. The series is based on the book Under the Sabers: The Unwritten Code of Army Wives by Tanya Biank, who serves as a consultant. "Army Wives" is produced by ABC Studios.
