LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- E! has renewed its newcomer "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" while FX has picked up two additional 13-episode seasons of "Damages."
The latter news marks a pleasant surprise for the series, which has remained firmly "on the bubble" since its finale last month. "Damages" averaged a so-so 2.5 million viewers during its first season, including a 1.1 million average among adults 18-49.
Co-stars Glenn Close, Rose Byrne and Tate Donovan are on board for the new season, which has yet to be scheduled. "Damages" comes from KZK Productions, Sony Pictures Television and FX Productions.
As for "Kardashians," from Ryan Seacrest Productions and Bunim-Murray Productions, the docusoap has regularly won its Sunday, 10:30/9:30c time period among women 18-34.
Eight new episodes will roll out sometime next year.
