COUNTDOWN TO 2008 WITH CAT DEELEY ON "NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE" MONDAY, DECEMBER 31, ON FOX

Spike Feresten from "TALKSHOW with Spike Feresten" Reports Live From Times Square

Join the celebration live from New York City's Times Square as Cat Deeley counts down to 2008 on NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE airing Monday, Dec. 31 (11:00 PM-12:30 AM ET/CT/MT/PT; live ET/tape-delayed CT/MT/PT) on FOX.

Deeley, reprising her role as host, will take a look back at the year's most memorable moments in pop culture and introduce live performances by some of the year's hottest musical artists. During the broadcast, TALKSHOW host Spike Feresten will report from the heart of Times Square to conduct his signature "man-on-the-street" interviews with partygoers. As 2007 comes to a close, Deeley and Feresten will bring in the New Year as the world-famous New Year's Eve ball makes its descent into Times Square.

Musical guests and additional artists scheduled to appear to be announced.

Executive producing for the third year in a row, Phil Gurin ("The Singing Bee," "Miss Universe," "Miss USA," "Weakest Link," "Test the Nation") said: "We are pleased to have the talented and gorgeous Cat Deeley return as the host of our NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE celebration. In addition to fantastic live performances by some great musicians, we're also going to have a hilarious correspondent in Feresten who will offer his insight and reports from the best spot in Times Square to catch all of the action."

Birmingham, England, native Cat Deeley is also one of the foremost television presenters in the UK and has recently become one of the hottest new faces on American TV following her two hugely successful seasons hosting SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE. Deeley was Jay Leno's first regular entertainment correspondent on "The Tonight Show" and is now performing the same duty for "Good Morning America." Deeley is a double BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Award winner and has won many other awards for her work on some of the UK's hottest primetime shows, including "Stars in Their Eyes," "CD:UK Live" (on which she appeared weekly for six years), "SMTV: Live" (which she hosted for three years), "Comic Relief Does Fame Academy," the "V Festival" (2004, 2005), "The Brits," "Record of the Year," "Elton John Live from New York," "The Latin Grammy Awards" and a one-hour special with U2, "When Cat Met U2," for ITV. Deeley often lends her time to the Great Ormond Street Hospital, a children's hospital in London, and divides her time between her homes in London and Beverly Hills.

Spike Feresten, host of TALKSHOW WITH SPIKE FERESTEN was raised in West Bridgewater, MA. TALKSHOW is a fast-paced half-hour that combines elements of a talk show with a studio audience and sit-down guests and adds to those elements with irreverent comedy sketches both inside the studio and out on the street. TALKSHOW offers a fresh approach to the conventional late-night format. The series dispenses with the traditional monologue, features comedy in every act and uses guests in unpredictable ways.
