THE AMAZING RACE (CBS) - The Eye is moving forward with a 13th edition of the Emmy winning reality series, which will roll out sometime later this year. Jerry Bruckheimer and Bert van Munster are behind the series, a co-production of Bruckheimer Television and Earthview in association with ABC Studios. The show's 12th season, currently airing on Sunday nights, is set to wrap next month. Jonathan Littman and Hayma Washington also serve as executive producers.
LAST COMIC STANDING (NBC) - Last season's winner Jon Reep and finalists Lavell Crawford and Amy Schumer have all inked talent holding deals with NBC Universal. The pacts will likely keep each comic busy with the Peacock and its various siblings for the next year. Reep's deal was part of his prize for winning show, which also included his own half-hour comedy special on Bravo and a check for $250,000.
WHACKED OUT VIDEOS (MyNetworkTV) - The fledgling network has partnered with Mighty Oak Entertainment ("Whacked Out Sports") to broadcast an early window of its upcoming syndicated series "Whacked Out Videos." Back-to-back episodes of the series, which features a collection of offbeat clips narrated in a humorous fashion, will air Wednesdays at 8:00/7:00c beginning January 2. In total, 104 half-hour episodes are set to be completed by next fall for syndication. The netlet has high hopes for the series as its "Sports" incarnation, currently in its second season, ranks as one of the top weekly non-scripted series in syndication (1.6 household rating). Spike TV and superstation WGN also carry "Sports."
