THEY WORK HARD FOR THEIR MONEY...

WEEDS And SECRET DIARY OF A CALL GIRL Set For

SHOWTIME's Monday Comedy Block On June 16th

Mary-Louise Parker Returns for Fourth Season;

Billie Piper stars in New Comedy Series

New York, NY (February 13, 2008) - Building on the success of last summer's hit Monday night comedy lineup, SHOWTIME will once again pair two comedy series in an hour-long block. On Monday June 16th, the network's highest-rated comedy series, WEEDS, returns for its fourth season at 10PM ET/PT, followed by the premiere of SECRET DIARY OF A CALL GIRL at 10:30PM ET/PT, it was announced today by Robert Greenblatt, SHOWTIME's President of Entertainment. With 13 new episodes ordered, WEEDS begins production in April 2008. SHOWTIME will air the entire first season's eight half-hour episodes of SECRET DIARY OF A CALL GIRL, already a hit in the United Kingdom.

Produced by Lionsgate in association with Tilted Productions, WEEDS stars Parker in her Golden Globe-winning portrayal of Nancy Botwin, a suburban mom who turns to dealing marijuana to make ends meet after her husband dies unexpectedly. Last season, viewers saw Nancy venture from hesitant but determined toe-dipper in the unpredictable waters of drug dealing to confident, full-fledged queen-pin entrepreneur. But with each promotion on the crime ladder, the danger and threat to her family has increased exponentially, especially with her son Silas now in the family business. In the third season's cliffhanger, Agrestic and the neighboring mega-church community Majestic, along with Nancy's customer base, were hit by wildfires and were rapidly burning to the ground, along with the Botwin home.

SECRET DIARY OF A CALL GIRL introduces viewers to a contemporary woman. She is smart, strong and confident and, like many modern women, she is struggling to balance her personal and professional life. In her case this pendulum swings between her job as a legal secretary, where she is known as Hannah, and her career as one of London's high-class call girls, where her clients simply refer to her as Belle, the answer to all their wildest fantasies. Trying to keep these two worlds from colliding results in some interesting situations and some humorous circumstances, including keeping her secret life from her family and her best friend Ben. The series stars British actress Billie Piper ("Doctor Who") in the dual role.

SECRET DIARY OF A CALL GIRL is an IMG/Tiger Aspect/Silverapples Media/ARG production.
