"AMERICAN IDOL" ANNOUNCES SUPPORT FROM iTUNES FOR "IDOL GIVES BACK" AIRING TONIGHT ON FOX
Net Proceeds from iTunes Sales of Show�s Performances To Be Donated to "IDOL GIVES BACK" Charities
Apple will once again support IDOL GIVES BACK by donating net proceeds from sales of the show's performances on the iTunes Store. Customers can purchase IDOL GIVES BACK music performances for 99 cents per song and full video performances for $1.99 each on the iTunes Store, with the net proceeds going to IDOL GIVES BACK.
IDOL GIVES BACK will help children and young people in need in the U.S. and around the world, and through iTunes, supporters can donate to the fundraising event by purchasing and downloading the evening�s performances.
Performances featured on iTunes from this one-of-a-kind philanthropic special include Mariah Carey performing "Fly Like A Bird" with AMERICAN IDOL judge Randy Jackson on bass, Carrie Underwood performing "Praying for Time," Teri Hatcher and Band from TV performing "Before He Cheats", Snoop Dogg and Charlie Wilson performing "Can't Say Goodbye", Fergie with John Legend on piano performing "Finally," Fergie and Heart performing "Barracuda," Miley Cyrus performing "Good and Broken" and "See You Again," Annie Lennox singing "Many Rivers to Cross," and Gloria Estefan with Sheila E. on percussion performing "Get On Your Feet." Additionally, Daughtry's video performance of "What About Now" filmed in Uganda is available for purchase and download on iTunes, along with three performances by the Top 8 finalists, "Don't Stop the Music," "Shout to the Lord," and "Seasons of Love."
