WE TV AIRS THE BABY BORROWERS, BEGINNING THURSDAY, JUNE 26 AT 10PM I 9C

Original Docu-Series Re-Purposed From NBC Makes WE tv Debut

New York, NY June 18, 2008 Ah, the joys of parenthood! This June, WE tv airs the fascinating docu-series The Baby Borrowers, NBC's all-new program based on the hit British series, following teenage couples as they learn firsthand about the many facets of parenthood by "borrowing" babies. The six-part, one-hour series debuts on WE tv Thursday, June 26 at 10pm l 9c, following its NBC premiere on Wednesday, June 25th. Subsequent installments will run Thursdays at 10pm on WE tv, the night following the broadcast premiere.

The Baby Borrowers follows five volunteer teenage couples, ages 18-20, as they embark on the fast track to parenthood. With cameras filming, 24-hour nanny supervision and the real parents watching via monitor next door, each nervous couple must set up a home, get a job and become caring parents first to babies, then to toddlers, pre-teens and their pets, teenagers, and finally senior citizens all over the course of just three weeks. As this social experiment begins, rigid routines, feedings, chores, diaper duty, tantrums, potty training, adolescent attitudes and even caring for the elderly takes these teenagers through an emotional, dramatic journey of what the future might hold, testing their relationships and preconceptions of parenthood.

For WE tv, Elizabeth Dore, Vice President of Acquisitions and Promotional Strategy. The Baby Borrowers is produced by Love Productions; Richard McKerrow (the U.K.'s "Crique de Celebrite") and Tom Shelly ("Survivor") executive produce.
