TLC INVITES YOU TO FIND THE PERFECT WEDDING DRESS AND LEARN A VERY DIFFERENT KIND OF 'FIRST DANCE'- ALL IN ONE NIGHT
Second Season of "Say Yes to the Dress" and New Series "Rock the Reception" premieres July 15 starting at 8:00PM ET/PT
New York, NY June 24, 2008 On July 15, 2008, TLC says yes to a second season of "Say Yes to the Dress," followed by the series premiere of "Rock the Reception." It was announced today by Brent Zacky, Vice President of Programming, TLC.
At 8:00 PM, the wedding power hour kicks off with the second season of "Say Yes to the Dress," and promises even more entertaining and emotional bridal stories. With women featured from all over the country, these eager brides-to-be make the rite-of-passage to the famed Kleinfeld bridal salon in NY in search of their perfect wedding dress. From the inspirational bride who recently beat cancer, to the indecisive bride who requires a whopping 16 fittings, this season showcases every type of bride who is on the hunt to find the dress that uniquely fits her style, personality, and budget. In addition, slight changes have been made to the Kleinfeld staff, including a new addition to management, Randy, who is the only male fashion director roaming the halls.
Continuing the fun at 8:30 PM, "Rock the Reception" follows two engaged couples as they painstakingly and often clumsily - rehearse a professionally choreographed production number as their surprise first dance for their wedding reception. The happy couple is taught their mighty moves by veteran husband and wife choreography team Napoleon and Tabitha D'Umo (So You Think You Can Dance), who have trained such superstars as Justin Timberlake, Beyonce and Celine Dion. But the fun of watching the couple's surprise dance number come to fruition is nothing compared to the shock, screams and whistles from their stunned wedding guests.
"This new hour on Tuesday nights is jam-packed with fun, and emphasizes what weddings should really be all about--a unique celebration," said Zacky. "'Rock the Reception" brings a whole new twist on the traditional first dance, focusing on what has become the latest phenomenon in modern weddings. Additionally, this second season of "Say Yes to the Dress" continues to feature women from all different backgrounds on the roller coaster ride that is finding the perfect dress. But this isn't a solo endeavor--moms, family and friends always have a strong opinion too, which is what makes the process so exciting to watch.
SAY YES TO THE DRESS is produced by Half Yard Productions.
