DO THESE DANCE SHOES MAKE ME LOOK FAT?
Oxygen Picks Up High-Energy, Low-Fat Reality Competition Series "Dance Your Ass Off"
Los Angeles - July 20, 2008 - Oxygen brings dance, diet and divas together with the pick-up of the new reality competition series "Dance Your Ass Off." In this unique show, talented, full-figured contestants who struggle with their weight will dance to unleash their inner thin. Scheduled to premiere on Oxygen in 2009, "Dance Your Ass Off" will be executive produced by Sally Ann Salsano (495 Productions). The show was developed by Lisa Ann Walter and Kate Rigg, who will also serve as consulting producers.
"With 'Dance Your Ass Off,' losing weight has never been sexier or more fun," said Amy Introcaso-Davis, Senior Vice President of Development and Programming, Oxygen. "It's high-cardio, low-calorie and outrageously entertaining - every woman's dream!"
Teams will get a new dance challenge each week that helps them sweat off those extra pounds. They will also learn how to incorporate healthy cuisine into their lifestyle. Each episode culminates with a weigh-in and dance-off.
